Hope I got this in the right place, anyway a quick word of advice. Driving from NY into Va to visit my girl, I was pulled over by Virginia State Troopers, after 30 mins of 3 cops surrounding my car (measuring my front and rear ground clearance, window tint, exhaust, checking all my papers) I was stuck w/ 2 violations, improper exhaust, illegal window tint. I have 35% all the way around, 8% from the legal limit, and after telling the officer that I can place a baffle in the muffler, for silence, he refused, said it should've been on in the first place. Keep in mind I wasn't speeding, I was wearing a seat belt and obeying all traffic laws. After telling my father, who oddly enough is a police officer, informed me that Va. is having buget problems, and until January they'll be writing tickets left and right. The sad thing is they love to nail imports, I will be fighting both violations, the total for the tickets was 125 bones, but to make this short, a warning for anyone driving in va. try to stay hidden, their looking for any reason to give a ticket. and if at all possible avoid Va. all together! |

new ECU (computer chip) is the best way to start on hp gains, starts around 300 bones, and reprogrammed chip(tha best) for around 600, intake and exhaust is always good, I started w/the intake, but don't expect a kick in the arse from it! but exhaust systems always help out in higher rpms! plus they give a evil sound to the ST's! Start checking out import tuner and similar magazines, they start w/base models and do dyno test's on each mod they install, so gives a good idea of what too expect! Granted each car responds differently, and some things help out more then others! but should give you a picture of what to expect. Some good places to shop for mods you ask? NOPI,TRDusa, and breeze through here, you'll find anything your looking for and most likely someone here's tried it! |

Whoa! before you go yanking that **** off, disconnect you're battery, and wait like 5 mins. the bag shouldn't deploy, but there's a safety relay that takes several mins. to shut down, then go pulling a jerking all you want, found the info trying to change out steering wheels, and getting around the driver's bag, in case your wondering! |

Yeah, just go back to the engine performance forum page at the very top forum has feasible engine swaps, coomer was cool enough to list all applicable engines and even some that won't work w/o some serious dough. oh yeah welcome! This site is the SH*T! and since you're new, other sites that you can check are celica online, and celica.net. |

You should check this months NOPI mag. has article on new clutches and what to decide on, I just put a new one in my ST, 130,000 before the bastard went out, I just went w/factory OEM, had to get back on the road, no time to wait, charged around 500 bones for the factory one, Nopi suggests that unless you're doing some serious mods, Nitrous, turbo, blah, blah, then just go w/standard, a lot of people don't realize when you put in a heavy duty clutch, it works like a on-off switch, so in traffic or red-light districts it's a serious pain, you're continously dropping the clutch to get started, so unless you constently do hard driving on the track, it's not really worth it. My uncle has a older model 911 SC targa w/a racing clutch, it's such a friggn' pain in the city because it's all timing, and stuck in traffic, your leg gets a serious work out. On the other hand, wide open, it's the best. Anyway, you should check out that article and see what others say about the dual-friction, and stage II, I'm not to sure on how well they grip, but for me, I drive to much in traffic to be fighting w/my car! Good hunting, and maybe you can get a better price on the install. |

you should check out tire.com also, good deals and free delivery, just put on enkei's rs5's 17" w/205/45 falkens,(around $850) I was a little worried how the 45's would set didn't want a off-road look, but their not really that tall, I'm extremly happy w/the size, just from the rough roads I know I'd be hurtn w/a lower profile. Don't forget, Make sure you get some tuner lug nuts, I had a B*tch of a time trying to find them where I live. |

I drive from virginia to Staten Island,NY on a regular basis, usually every other weekend or so for my job, I ran a high flow cat and a revolution muff. so a little loud, the best part's on the journey is the typical rednecks in their Mustangs or '88 IROC's trying to start sh*t, I'm sure everyone has this encounter, it's like dude get a clue, then get that damn mullet shaved off your fat head. You see so many pieces of crap on the road anymore, my bud's got a nissan Z, this stupid little Frescort w/Japenese stickers try's to go? so we take off, and he finally catches up like two lights up, and try's to make small talk about each other's rig, so we ask him if he know's that his car is american based w/jap stickers? he shut's up, rolls up his windows. Then we leave him in smoke!, Then there's the ever so popular golf-carts w/honda emblems on the road, I swear, I see hundreds, all sounding like pissed off bee's!, so un-original. |

OoooKKAy, let me clarify, for all those, I just wanted to know if I could find the wing, where I would look, I'm not planning on getting the wing now, and I'd like to do the engine swap, and have the wing on the back when everythings said and done, I personally don't see anything wrong w/just the wing, but I think you'd have to be running the front mask and hood of the GT to pull it off. but to each their own, just because he doesn't like it or you don't like it, it's still not your rig, do want you wanna! Jeez, some of you guys or so judgemental about other peoples rides. For all those who helped w/the sites I appreciate it, I found some other parts that may be of use also. |

yeah, duct tape, man, I'm glad to finally solve the mystery, j/k, so's I'm guessin the front won't be too low to be able to take bumps from the sounds, good news, I surely won't do the release idea, but if I was, I'd put the pins or try anyway, under the hood where it fastens to the lip, yeah, that way they'd have to pop the hood, heach breaking into my rig! Maybe a idea for the guys dropped w/coilovers? I dunno just a thought! |

took mine off and some meguire's trusty paint cleaner looks fine, some little tiny, tiny area's that you can see where it rubbed a bit, but what to do w/the damn holes? I like the option of being able to take off the wing every once in a blue moon and stick the little tike back on, so trying to find a way to leave the option open, yeah? |

I had the eibach kit installed 1" drop, and I thank if I had to do it again I would've gone w/coilovers, I know you want those springs on bad! and depending on how well your shocks are and how low you want to go, you shouldn't have any probs w/the shocks, But if I where you, and I'm not, I'd just save for both, either doing it yourself or having a shop do it, it's better to get all that taken care of at once. And don't forget do some research on how low you can go before you do sway bar damage, I believe it's somewhere around 2" or lower, it's in one of these forums somewhere, you risk warping the sways, so always something else to invest in! |

I've got the veilside invader kit sitting in my garage waiting for my broke a** to put on, in import tuner the one with the yellow twin turb sup on the front, the guy installed quick release pins on the front bump, to be able to take off, when stuck in a sh*tty parking lot or loading on a flat bed. Just wondering has anyone tried this trick? There's so many friggn' speed bumps in my complex, or speed hills seems like, how phat would in be to pop that sh*t off and ever so carefully place in the back until I get clear. Cracking my front lip will be my biggest fear, but how can I accomplish such a feat, kimosobie? |

I mounted mine on the left side just to keep it outta the way, why put one in? I like the look plus I noticed I drive w/my left arm over the wheel and right on the shift, and it's nice not to have to check out the red line all the time. I hooked the back light to a switch, so it's not on all the time buggn' the hell outta me...so yeah... |

I just found the camber kit in overboost.com, (+/- 1.0 degree adjust) at $28.22 bones a pop, you'd need 4, but wondering how many peps have done this, I've got the eibach drop of an 1", just need some input, I'd like to get sways and struts first, and then the cambers if it would make a diff? |

Bro, like every one says yu should have no probs, I really didn't even notice it. But one thing I can give advice on is if you use the double sided tape make sure yu have in everywhere, I had to tear that sh*t back out and redue it because those jokers get hot and bubble up. my needle kept sticking at 80mph on the interstate. And let me say it's no fun re-doing sh*t! best of luck and enjoy! |

I ran 2.5" and a high flow cat(had to run the cat. state laws suck) anyway heard that 2.5 is good and 3 for turbo's, how ever I'm sure that it wouldn't really be that diff. on the little 7a anyhow. But just to be safe and get the most I could outta it. Went w/the 2.5" |
