hey guys! im sad to announce that my wounderfull celica has passed on! i have it parked at my parents house for now so i decided to post it up here before doing the worst (junk it). I dont know what happen but i was dropping my son off at my aunts one day and the car shut off on me, then it would start at all. i put 2 new starters in it less then 6 months ago but idk what else it could be.... the car is in good shape all the way around minor, MINOR body work needed. i bought a few things from some of the guys here and let me just say i dont want to let the car go so, if any one is interested in buying it inbox me plz. i dont want to junk it just yet cause i know ill get like $200 out of it and i have a 1 yr old son to take care of. so let me know if anyone wants to see it will send pics if you want. not looking fo a ton of money cause i know if it goes to some one here they know what they have. thanks!

ok so its been a wile now since I've been here but i would like to know if anyone from the New England area would like to give me a quote on a rebuild that can be done either at my house or yours. its nothing that crazy i just want to just basically clean the engine up and put new pistons if needed or just to do some minor work no NOS or Turbo just a simple rebuild. now why ask here? well i know there's some ppl here that can do the rebuild and know what there doing and with what there working with..... mechanics don't care they take short cuts and charge too much. but plz let me know if anyone can help i know there's some ppl up in R.I. so help a fellow 6gc'er out.
thank you

Look into a used engine, just do some research! and if it makes u feel better i got 124k out of my old 7A-FE cause the first owner beat my baby up! frown.gif deff look into the reliability of the swap places! my friend got robbed at one of those places, leaving his civic overnight, but couldnt prove it was them..I think it was personally i went with him and they were shady. do your research first! is all i can say-

thanks guys for the feed back it really calms me down a bit because the engine just hot 175,000 and it doesnt feel right to me any more, like idk abiut mechanics or what not but on the highway ill be going at 70mph and the engine is up a 3,000 to 3,000 rpm and it feels soooo slow and it itakes some time to go a lil faster. im not in to racing or turbos more in to the look of the car but i would like to have a pretty good engine you know? presure you got ur engine swapt right? did you do it your self or had help? i know some of the guys up north do it (mass) but idk if i would leave the car up there over night. its like my baby.. tongue.gif

That's the kind of thing I'd be really interested into buying a set... REALLY

i also had an idea of adding the motors and controls from electric mirrows and use them to electronically adjust projectors, or make automatic projectors that by the push of a button will make them point higher and work as high beams as well or maybe both, but the ones that would use the controls from electric mirrows woud be complicated to sell them to people that would have to pay someone else to install them and also they would be really expensive due to including the whoe electric system from the mirrows, but the automatic ones I could make themfor less than 30$ and sell the lamps 50$ more with that system built into it. which would eliminate the need of highbeams which makes the battery last longer and the car more efficient. also listend to your engine when you turn the highbeams on, it sounds with less power, so if im right it should let your car run more powerful than if you run wuth highbeams, i have to make a prototype 1st to be 100% sure and give you guys a solid statement. smile.gif

if i have money and these become an item to purchase i would deff buy them HELL yeah!
