i currently have gt brakes on the front of my coupe, havent done the rears yet but my car stops very well and ive ran her on the tail of the dragon and didnt have any brake issues. all i did was ordered new rotors from rockauto.com along with axxis metal master pads then i got the calipers from the loacal advance auto parts along with the brackets reused my spindles and hubs (on the front it wouldnt hurt to get new bearings pressed in at this time), the backing plates i just bent to clear the gt rotor. i can post pics if needed |

ok so on the rear suspension of my 94 stx coupe there was a thick rubber doughnut-like gasket/spacer that sat between the top part of the spring and the bottom of the strut mount. When i looked at the illustation from a toyota catolog it wasnt there so i removed them, afterwarsd my car makes a light clunking sound on certain bumps. Atm i can only find one of these spacer/gasket type things does anyone know where i can find another? |

Just installed a Godspeed radiator and forgot to flush it before hand. Car is overheating and don't want to ruin a new engine I need to know how to flush the system to remove any junk that might have been left inside from mfg. Nice radiator but the oem fans don't fit and the ones that came with it are junk. Thanks if need be you can ziptie or get a universal fan mounting kit from autozone for your oem fans. After u changed radiators did u let it run with the cap off while fluid was in the new radiator to burp the system? basicly let it run till no more air bubbles are comming out the radiator. |

ok ive seen a few members on here ask how to mod the corolla 7a header. For those of you that dont know the corolla 7afe header bolts up to the 6th gen st but the pipe where it bolts to the cat is a bit short, plus there is no 2nd o2 sensor, which will cause a cell. my car is a 94 celica st 5speed coupe with fed emissions just for reference sake the header i used is for a 93-97 7afe corolla with fed emissions, its made by alpha werks, bought from ebay, won the bid at 42 dollars shipped heres the pics and explainations most people ask, why mod a 7afe, well the header was cheaper than the manifold manifold looked like this ![]() long white marks are cracks, there are 5 of them header bolted in ![]() heres the distance from where the header would end to the after cat piping (where i cut the pipe on the header is right at the flange) ![]() why did i remove the cat, well to fix it broke cat ![]() race prep cat ![]() now your going to have to make a trip to the exaust shop after you bolted your newly made race cat in but before you go, do this cut the section of pipe right after the flex pipe on your old stock assembly and take it with you ![]() now when u get there the pipe will havta be remounted as the header downpipe will annoyingly clunk against the crossmember ![]() also i had them cut and rotate the 2nd o2 bung and pipe then welded up ![]() ![]() also now would be a good time to replace the 2nd o2 sensor and extend the wires, heres where my plug rests for 2nd o2 ![]() after that your pretty much done, so now i got a header 42 dollars, race cat, free, and the exaust work cost me 25 dollars. not bad oh and i did copper coat the hell outta the gaskets they sent me, 8000 miles later they are still good. |

if u want a cheap wheel upgrade the 82-86 celica supra and 82-85 celica gts have a 14x7 wheel stock that looks good on the older celicas for cheap added power u can go with a 22r bottom end (81-84 22r) and your 20r head will gain you some power. theres a site called engine builder that makes performace parts for the r series. or look up epn 22r on google also lcengineering but they are expensive but has everything under the sun beams swap, pffft you can shoehorn a jz series engine or a 7m in there if you would like, also a 1uzfe fits as well 22rte would work too but wouldnt have as much poteintal but would still yeild around 265hp with some money thrown at it a v6 radiator out of a 2nd gen 4runner or truck (89-95 v6) is a cheap upgrade from what i read. i could rattle on but i gotta head to work, nice find. i want a 1st gen coupe so bad. as far as interior, my buddy used some kind of board and that black automotive carpet u get at walmart in his 77 liftback and it turned out nice. Look up ANDY on celicatech.com and look in the projects fourm to see his build |

well my stx is my beater but ill give it some love because though it aint rwd its still a celica. my manifold was cracked like u said so heres what i did bought a alpha werks header for a 7a corolla from ebay, $42 dollars bought a big oval polished aluminum muffler from craigslist, $30 dollars took off the 2nd cat to inspect it, clogged, gutted it (no emmisions here) test fitted the 7a header, fit good but was too short to reach the cat and the header doesnt have the 2nd o2 bung for your sensor cut the section of pipe after the flex pipe on the stock manifold/pipe assembly off cut the flange off the rolla header, scrapped it cut the flange off the stock mainifold pipe but left a bit of pipe on (enough to weld to) went to the exaust shop and had them weld the stock pipe onto the header to the cat but had the pipe rotated so that the 2nd o2 bung is on its side instead of strait up. $25 dollars forgot the damn muffler so its still not on yet but was told id be $50-75 for the piping to be welded on (since i have my own muff and looking for a resonator) went to autozone bought a new o2 sensors went home and extened the wires for them enjoyed my fun test drive if u need pics i can take em 4 u |
