I was going to go to the meet in IL, but it looks like it's falling apart... So if this one picks up some interest I'll prob find my way out.

So... who exactly is going? I see that Bloodmoney tried to get a final list going, but he's the only one on it. I want to go, but 4 hours is a little far to drive to meet 1 or 2 other people. I don't mind postponing it if that means people will actually show up... but it's not really my call. I just think it's a shame to see this meet fizzle out like it has, and if waiting another month or two means I can actually meet some other 6gc people then so be it.

I'd be interested in going to a springtime meet... provided my exam schedule doesn't get in the way

Man I want that clip so bad... if you still have it come tax time you'll be hearing from me. In the case that you sell both the engine and the clip before then, I hope hope hope that you'll decide to sell some others... I would much rather buy from you than from ebay. I'd say GLWS, but I'm not sure I want you to sell... unless it's to me, of course.

Ehh... it's a little late, but I thought I'd post a pic of my Halloween hair

I ran completely stock exhaust with a fairly cheap straight through muffler for a long time. It did absolutely nothing power wise, but it sounded good -- no bumble bee crackles or anything, just a smooth deep tone. But then the fun started... I needed to replace my pipe, so I decided to go with a 2.25" custom cat back, which meant I had to take off my resonator. After that, my car sounded like complete ricer crap... I'm talking epic fart cannon sound, lol. So I replaced the cheap straight though muffler with a flowmaster delta 60 (the one that's made for 4 bangers), and now my car sounds amazing.

So, just going off of my experience, I would say that the muffler on your stock set up should sound okay... but if you decide to go with a bigger pipe, spend the money on a good muffler... otherwise you'll hate the way your car sounds.

Lowering the car did nothing to effect your axles.

The first time that you fixed the axle did you force it back into the transmission? (By forcing it I mean beating it with a hammer or pushing it really hard... when you replace an axle it should slide in easily and snap into place) If you did, there is a possibility that you messed up the splines and the lock inside the trans that holds the snap ring on the end of the axle. If so, your axle has more play and is not locked properly into the trans, which is causing more pressure on the carrier bearing. This will cause the carrier bearing to go bad and the axle will pop loose from the transmission. If this is what happened, your options are pretty much to take it to someone who can fix it, or to buy a new trans (buying the trans would probably be cheaper). Hope this helps!

Cedar Point would be awesome... I've been there several times since I only live about 4 hours away. It's my favorite amusement park by far. And I would be down for having a meet in OH sometime. It's reasonably close to me and I actually know my way around Columbus (sort of, lol).

ugh... I wouldn't be willingly showing people what I look like, but I'm planning to go to the St. Louis meet in June and it would be nice if people could actually recognize me. haha

I think it's a little early to organize people's sleeping arrangements anyways... we might have more luck if we look into that after the first of the year. I might be down for camping if a bunch of other people were going to as well. The hubbo has some new gear we haven't tried out yet thanks to northern Indiana's epic camping fail. If people don't want to camp we could look into trying for a group rate somewhere if we had enough people... I have no idea how many we'd need though lol

Oh and when we get closer to the date I'll try to get info from everybody who is on the NE side of St. Louis and wants to meet up on the way down. I'm not at all familiar with anywhere around there though, so I'll need some help finding a good place to meet people.
