I think when most people think of doing a turbo on a 5sfe it is easy. I will just slap a turbo on and keep the boost low. It is not that easy. The 5sfe is and economy motor that was not meant to be turbo'ed in stock form. Don't get me wrong, it can be done but for all the money a person will spend doing that, you could spend that amount on a 3sgte and have a 500 hp motor if you wanted. I went into building a 5sfte with the wrong mentality. I thought I could build it cheap and it would take less time and be less complicated. That was not the case. Yes, there are success stories of the 5sfte but most of them I know of they got at most 1 and half to 2 years out of the motor before they had problems. Now most of those people are swapped to either 3SGTE's, 1MZFE's, or 2GRFE's for the OEM reliability and extra power. There is one plus to doing a 5sfte, you will get really good at pulling the motor our of the car because stuff is going to break. When I first started my 5sfte build it took me 2 days to get the motor out of the car. By the 5th time (in 2 years) of me pulling the motor, I was able to have it out in 3 hours (not sure that is a plus).

So when I had my custom exhaust made I decided that maybe I'll try using a different muffler from the typical canister type. This was the muffler that I choose:


I like the sound that it makes with the resonator. Now I have the Megan Racing N1 that I bought off ebay just lying around and was wondering if I should replace my muffler that I have now with it.


Just needed some opinions. Overall, if anything it'll most likely be for the look and if I don't replace my muffler then I might sell it.

This weekend, I installed JDM projector lows & clear highs and gave my car a MUCH needed wash/wax.
Today, I ordered some ARP extended wheel studs in anticipation for new wheels that I'm aiming to have by the fall.

I'd be interested in the clear side markers that are in one of the boxes. Shipped to Ann Arbor, MI 48108,.

So here is my problem. I did the 6th gen GT4 brake mod on the front my 94 GT. And now when i stop the damn thing sounds like a fright train stopping, its so loud! The set-up i have is the GT4 calipers, ebc turbo supra pads and 2013 brz rotor. I have anti sequel shims and anti rattle springs and i just ordered the pad spacers from Toyota. I dont see why the lack of a pad spacer would cause this much sound. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone
