isn't there a strut bar that goes underneath the car as oppose to the one in the trunk? which one is better?? or is that called a Sway bar ?? same thign??

I think you're referring to the lower tie bar. For our celica's there's only the rear strut tower braces, which go in the trunk.

Yeah, the strut bar didn't "feel" as if it were there when I first drove around. But after swerving around and taking corners, you can notice it's there.

After reading the posts on here, I went and scored a strut bar off ebay for the neons and fitted it to my celica ST. I used one of the existing holes, drilled a new hole, and cut a notch in the brackets for it to fit the three bolts.

Yes, just a straight up trade. If you were closer to San Diego we can do the swap this week.

I'm looking to trade my 17" Enkei Rims with Yokohama AVS ES100 size 215/40-17 for some 7th gen GT-S rims. I prefer ones with newer tires, because mine are fairly new.

If interested, e-mail me for pics. I live in San Diego, so being near or around the area is a huge plus.

Here are some old pics. The tires are the Yokohama's now.

sorry, i thought about where it should go, just thought either one would suite it for some reason

I think it's okay to post that here, because it isn't you who is selling correct? The guy selling is here in San Diego, and you're from Texas.

Thanks for the link, I'm thinking of getting these depending on if the rims have any big amounts of curb rash.

ok so he does have the same set up, thats cool, i need to see a pick of how the sides and the front end match up on the either side of the wheel well,  it looks to me that there might be a bit of a difference in hieght, is that so? Also, last time i heard this dude was selling his whip, so would that mean that im gonna be the only one when he does?

If he was selling his car, then you and the guy who bought it will have the same setup tongue.gif

I'm about to pick up some 2004 Toyota Corolla OEM 15" Alloy Wheels and Tires and was wondering if they will fit on my Celica without any problems... any help would be appreciated before I waste my money.

Here is what they look like: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/pts/68738148.html

I don't think anyone has used it, because Curren parts are pretty hard to get a hold of. So if anyone did get a hold of one, it would probably be really expensive.

I have that ACT Clutch, with a heavy-duty pressure plate. Grabs reallllly nice. I love it. And it's all you really need with this car. A stage 2 or 3 clutch is overkill I think.

I have my car lowered on Tein S-techs. It drops your car perfectly even front and back. I'm happy and satisfied with the drop, it's not too aggressive, yet it gets rid of the hideous fender gap. Also, rides just like stock. It's not all bumpy and harsh, but rather a smooth and stock feel.

I went to the dealer today to get the oil changed on my truck. While I was there I checked on the price of the GT4 rear strut brace, and it was $85. Is that a lot for it? I've read people getting it for about half of that.

yea theres a lil bolt to the right side of the handle just tighten it or loosen it to your specs. to get to it just push the rubber fitting that goes around the hand brake aside.

that is one way to do it, but the proper way to do it would be to take off the rear rotors/drums (depending on what you have) and adjust the adjuster. If you have an ST, this is definately the way you wanna do it.

What exactly is the adjuster? Is this a "do it yourself" job?

Depends on the brand of rotors...some people will drill holes in factory rotors and sell them as cross-drilled rotors.

It's from a reputable company called BrakeChek located in Orange County. They got good stuff over there. Is that a decent price?

I can get a pair of cross drilled and slotted rotors for about $90. And that's both left and right in the front. Is that a good price? Thanks.

I went ahead and started to remove the front brake rotors, but there's a big nut holding it on. Does anyone know what size that nut is, so I can go to the autostore and buy the socket..

no.. but before you put that hideous thing on your car, you should roll to the so cal meet up

First of all, I'm not getting a roof rack to look pretty. I need it to haul my snowboards and surfboards.

What I figured from searching through previous threads is to either get a Yakima or Thule. I just don't know where, or what else to look for. Thanks everyone.

Coomer, if you're still interested, I can do $350 Sshipped without the universal brackets because I can't find the other pair of brackets for one of the seats. Let me know, please e-mail me. thecellar@cox.net
