you should notice a gain. im not sure how much but by port and polish and adding a bigger cam you def will notice it. theres alot of parts that you will need to swap over. like head intake manifold 3sge harness 3sge ecu 3sge fuel rail 3sge alternator bracket 3sge crank timing gear 3sge tensioner 3sge timing belt 3sge water neck ....etc my recent addition to my build. i purchased some wolfkatz engineering fuel injector cups so i can mount my fuel rail and injectors and i finished up my radio bezel with gauge cluster heres a shot of the gauge cluster in the bezel. ![]() |

I was suppose to goto kadena but my orders were canceled. The newer 5s from what ive read dont have the same water jackets but nothing that some grinding cant take care of. A 90 to 91 block is optimum. |

same principle. a 5s block is a 5s block with the exception of what generations from what i've read the 90-91 revision of the 5s is optimum. the 92+ has issues with the water jackets not lining up. the head that i am using is a 2nd gen 3sgte |

you wanted build pictures so heres what ive done. initial removal of the old 5sfe. ![]() some interrior shots while i was pulling everything. some minor parts were removed. ![]() cheap sunpro mechanical gauges. i have upgraded to prosport electronic gauges sense then ![]() pics of the 5s block coming out. block orginaly had 207,000 miles on it and showed. block was caked with dirt and road grime ![]() ![]() 5S camshaft removal ![]() 5s head removed. you can see the carbon deposits on the pistons. they were REALLY bad. ![]() 5s valves in the head. same condition as the pistons. exhaust side had some nasty carbon build up. ![]() closer shot of the 5s piston. ![]() 5s crank in the block ![]() bare 5s block. ![]() block was vatted bored .20 over and honed by my local machinist shop. and the build up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() test fitment of the turbo, manifold and down pipe. i will be replacing or moving the wastegate later to prevent boost creep ![]() and the engine is in the car. ![]() ![]() intercooler piping has been a BITCH to route in this thing. later down the road i am going to have the intake pipes welded together ![]() while my interior isnt original anymore its gone through alot of development. im currently on my 2nd dash. and most of my car what i need to do is wiring. my old wire harness was beat up fuse box was melted due to a electrical fire. so i am in the process of installing a new one. heres my dash. ![]() general idea of the gauge cluster bezel. ![]() my buddy over at seatbeltpads made me some custom 5sgte seatbelt pads. ![]() thats all that i can think of at the moment. i will be redoing my head later on down the road with some hks cams bigger valves. port and polish, Nos and all that good stuff. all that i have left right now is to run some plumbing and wiring. |

Why are you double intercooling? In double cooling because you dont see it verry often. Aswell with this build. most people just swap to a 3s. Also water to air is better for low speeds and a front mount is better for high speed. The purpose of this car is to have a dragster and a road corse car. I will post the build process when i get home. |
