Gorgeous car, man! If I didn't have a killer awesome Celica that I'm working on, I'd go get yours! Hahahahaha!!! I love that blue color! Whoever gets it will be a happy man/lady!

Thanks, he looked pretty happy as he drove away. It sold in less than 24hours!

Hi,

I'm selling my 1995 Celica Convertible, located in Falmouth, MA. I'm relocating and it cannot come with me, sadly.

It's in good mechanical condition, has a manual transmission and 139k. The top is not cosmetically perfect, but functional and doesn't leak. All windows work.

I installed new factory floor mats and leather interior last summer and new front tires. It has an excellent sound system installed two years ago but I still have the factory CD unit and will include it. It has an Eclipse AVN4430 stereo with iPod and USB adapter in the glovebox, built-in removable handheld GPS unit, satelitte radio and DVD player, Memphis MA8 8" marine speakers in the front and Infinity 6.5" in the back.

I've been driving it daily for the last 2 years here on the Cape and before that in Virginia. It's a fun car to drive and very economical.

Best regards,
Rod

Hi,

I just upgraded the sound system in my 95 convertible and no longer need the factory head unit that was in there. My car has the 6 speaker system and once I found that 3 of my 6 speakers were blown, I was able to test it and it works great. It also works pretty well with a cassette adapter for an mp3 player and doesn't make a noticeable clicking noise (like my wife's Honda Pilot does). I can bench test it for you and send you a movie of it working before I send it if you wish. I will include the antitheft code in case you ever need it. Bracket is included.

Not sure if anyone needs one of these, but if you do, just message me with your offer before next Sunday and we can arrange postage or local pickup in the Northern VA / Washington DC area. I'll take the best offer that comes in by next Sunday night and if I get no interest, I'll put it on ebay the following week.

Thanks,
Rod

Thanks, that sounds great. Do you have a speaker bracket for a convertible or will the one from your Coupe fit?

Cheers,
Rod

I can pull out the bracket one day and let you have it if you want it. I wont be using the back speakers. w my competition setup. So let me know and I can try to set it up.

Wow, thanks for that info. I can't believe that piece is $150. Since I have one on the right side, I've taken it out to have a look at it. If I can't find one at a scrap yard, I'll make one myself.

Thanks!

Rod

Rod,

If you need a diagram for what goes with that speaker setup use this link:

Hi,

I went to put new rear speakers into my 95 Convertible to discover there is no speaker bracket on the left hand side (as well as no speaker). I called the local dealer and they said this part is not available.

Does anyone have any idea where to get hold of one of these? Or the part number? Or have one from a car they are parting?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Rod

Hi,

My convertible is missing the seal between the front window and quarter window on the passenger side. From reading this forum it seems one cannot buy this part, so if anyone has one forsale let me know!

Thanks,
Rod

Hi,

Looking for one of those silver box stock amplifers that are in the console. I need it for my 95 Celica GT.

Thanks,

Hi,

I just bought a 95 Celica GT convertible and it so fun to drive wink.gif .

I have the stock CD/radio/tape system with 6 speakers and unfortunately the left channel is dead. Occasionally, the right front door speaker drops out as well, which can be remedied by turning off the stereo, waiting a while and then it comes back, or changing from tape to FM mode.

So before ripping things apart too much, can anyone use these symptoms to troubleshoot why the left channel is out? My feeling is that it is the stock amplifier, rather than the speakers. Is it possible that only the two channels are blown in the amplifier? Are these stock amplifiers replaceable and does anyone have one for sale? Is there an easy test, like swapping the left output of the amplifier with the right output to test whether the left side stock speakers are ok? I would like to just keep the stock unit and use the existing speakers if they are OK, so if anyone knows of an aftermarker amp that can be swapped in, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

Rod
