So I ran into an issue. Im trying to change the wheel bearing on the front driver side of my 6GC... And I cannot remove the upper ball joint. I think that it might be seized.. Does anyone know of a good way to take it off of the hub assembly? I sprayed it with some WD40 to loosen it, but I don't think that it is going to help. HELP please! Never mind.. I took a hammer to it and it just needed more force than I was giving it. Just didnt want to damage anything... |

So some updates as I go. I have been trying to find time to actually lay the fibreglass into the molds. This is what I have so far. It doesnt look too bad for a first timer. ![]() ![]() Now I'm having a hard time removing the tape from the half enclosure... Any suggestions... I'm thinking a blade and some patience... I figured a sander would help but the adhesive from the pate would just gum the sand paper all up and render it useless... At this point all I am doing is strengthening the box enclosure so that there is minimal vibration. Once I figure out how to get all the tape off, I need to start to place the mounting points to the car and for the 10" sub mounts. I unpacked my subs as well just to see how beautiful they are, and boy are they a beaut!!! ![]() ![]() |

Love the dash kit! What's the part number? I would love to get this. Also I liked the hood dampers. Where did you get those? Are they OEM? I've been looking for them for a while. I must not be looking for them in the right place! Hey the dash kit I actually found on E-Bay. I was just looking and really gave up on looking for new dash kits or dials. I had purchased SPREE's led kit and all though it was nice, it just didn't do justice for me. I really wanted to spiffy up the dash to make it look modern. Anyways, I have attached the link so that other people can get this!!! Dash Kit As for the hood dampers, I also got those from E-Bay and I was lucky that I found carbon fibre ones... They fit perfectly, however I am thinking of getting a carbon fibre hood (due to hail damage) and well.. I think that the dampers may be too strong, if I use them I'll end up folding the carbon fibre hood in half when I try to close it. We'll see. I tried to find the link for the hood dampers... however I was unsuccessful. Sorry!! Anyways, some have asked me to add some more to my progression... As you all know, I just purchased some awesome JL Audio TW3 10" subs and want to put them in. Some may say that I am a copy cat, but I give much credit to LED-BOY's progression thread where he did the sound system for his wife. It has given me inspiration and I really liked the factory look of the final product. Here is what I have so far: ![]() ![]() This is what I started off with, but just didn't look right... So I had to go back to LED-BOY's thread and well, I had to start again... I did some cutting with a dremel and made more space to work with: ![]() ![]() Then I used a thinner box as it was easier to work with and contour the edges: ![]() ![]() After all the box was lined, I then sealed all the corners with masking tape and now I'm ready to start applying resin and fibreglass: ![]() ![]() Cant wait until I start laying fibreglass down and things start to take shape. Ill post more as I go!!! |

Good day forums! Does anyone by chance have a 6th Gen "Zenki" model GT Four (a GT Four manufactured from February 1994 to November 1997), of which they have removed the front wheel bearings that they could take pictures of using a tape measurer so that I can get the measurements to order a front wheel bearing kit? I do not have the tools readily available to remove my wheel bearings (slide hammer, time, etc..) I am looking to order a genuine set from a site and they need the measurements... Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in Advance! |

So ran into an issue where some garbage came up into the wheel well of my car and wrapped around the front inner cv boot and well tore it up completely. I was hoping someone could tell me whether the USDM ST202 front inner cv boot and the st205 front inner cv boot are the same. If they are, then I won't need to search as hard. Looking for answers ASAP! Thanks in advance! I saw some information that a camry inner cv boot worked. They brought the axle to the axle shop and just told them camry.....I need to get mines done too as mines is leaking...need to find shop first. Thanks man... I actually ordered a set from www.id-workz.co.uk... I am also looking to order a set of wheel bearing kits as well for my front wheels, however ran into an issue where they needed the measurements of my front wheel bearings. Since I really don't have the option of removing my front wheel bearings at this time they cancelled my order as they didn't want to send me the wrong set. Apparently the Zenki model ST205 has different wheel bearings than the Kouki model. |

damn, didn't read your 2nd last post. i would've told you (again) that the front wheel bearings are different. I ran into the same issue last year. unfortunately, no other toyota (after spending some time searching) shares the same bearings as the front bearings on the ST205. tcbparts.co.uk is your best bet. it sucks but your cars gonna have to sit for a little while. Well....lol yup its gonna sit for a little bit so that I can find the right part... However we are going to try to contact NSK who is the original manufacturer of the wheel bearing. We have the original part number so I think that we will be able to track down a cheaper alternative than having to go to TCBPARTS and have expensive shipping from the UK. Once I have a solution to this issue, I will share for all!!!! Till then stay tuned! (No pun intended lol) |

So it looks like I ran into a problem. I am at the shop right now working on the car. We've pulled out the old bearing, and the new bearing that I purchased for the Toyota Celica is not the same... It is smaller than the original. I need a new wheel bearing for the front passenger side of a 1994 Toyota Celica GT4 with the superstrut suspension. Can anyone help? |

Nice progress BTW, there was a group by a couple of years ago on clear replacement lenses that were custom made... sometimes you can get lucky and find a set, but they are a rare find these days. I know! I've been looking for a set of those replacement clears, but much to my dismay I can't find them. They're too rare! Someone has to bring them back! In the meanwhile ill have to revert back to the drawing board on how I'm going to sand down my headlights.. |

I was wondering how I missed this thread, then I realized it started last year.... Need moar updates! MOAR UPDATES YOU SAY! OKAY!!! Anyways.. I started working on some aesthetics cause well... I feel as though I need to update the look of my baby more. Anyways, the JDM headlights are a GREAT addition to the 6GC, however, it just seems too generic... I guess you can guess what I have been working on. Anyways, here are some pics of my current project: First I took apart my old headlights: ![]() Then I got myself a set of these beautiful things... Motimoto H1 Retrofit Projectors courtesy of Lightwerkz! ![]() I then took a "dremel" tool and cleaned out the inside "stump" as I would call it that holds the old halogen lamp in place. ![]() Then I sanded the inside of the reflector housing and did some fitting to see how everything would look... Doesn't look too bad in my opinion. ![]() ![]() My next job was to prime, paint, and then clear-coat the reflector housing and the reflector accent a nice modern black. ![]() After much toil, I put everything back together to see what it would look like and WOW... What a beauty! ![]() Only thing left to do is to find a place where I can take the original headlight lenses and sand them down to make them clear cause as they are right now... Well, lets just say the projector beam will blind a lot of people lol. I can't wait to finish that last piece of the puzzle and install my new headlights! If any of you guys know where I can get clear lenses for my headlights, it would really save me a lot of time. Otherwise I will have to wait until, like I said, I can find a place that will be able to "de-line" my current lenses. |

Hey everyone! I need your help once again... I am looking for a new wheel bearing and I have checked the TCBparts.com website... It looks as though the Toyota Celica GT Four uses the same hub flange as the USDM ST202. How I know this you ask... Well the part number for the hub flange on the GT Four shares the exact same part number as the ST202 in America... I assume that this means that it is the same... now before I sound like an ass (to assume means to make an ass out of u and me... ASS-U-ME) I wanted to make sure I was not getting the wrong information. Anyways does this mean that they can use the same wheel bearing? Please share your thoughts! It will be greatly appreciated in saving me quite a lot of shipping fees and other costs related! (I am sorry to the moderators as I made another thread regarding this. I should have checked this one first to post here... If you would like to delete the additional thread that I had made, please do so. I will not make this mistake again...) I am sure that this issue, once resolved will help many of the 6gc owners out there who have purchased the GT Four in Canada/US can benefit from this by saving a few bucks. So we have confirmations that all 6GC's use the same wheel bearings. I hope that this helps a lot of 6GC owners out there. You may refer to BonzaiCelica's post Here |
