Couple noob questions regarding pads. In general, if a car has discs in front and back, does that mean the pads will be the same? Is that the case for the GTs (I think it is not)? Are the ST and GT front disc pads the same? There are some crazy cheap pads on Amazon (Monroes): Monroe Pads But they have about 4 different models that claim to fit my GT. The above ones are recommended replacement on ST but says will fit my GT. Since they are free pads AR, I just wanted to be sure. |

I don't have that kind of money or I would. My old engine is blown and I'm looking for a turbo lol. I wanna go bigger but not huge the 2nd gen is plenty for me. Then I'll go onto looks I don't have a high goal like most guys I'm happy with 250 If you do not have the cash for a clip, I don't see how you are going to do a swap. Even if you find an inexpensive 2ndgen 3sgte (they are out there), you are nowhere near ready to put that baby in. Time to do some research man, you are a long ways off in terms of cost and parts. This is true... i have 3K.... a clip is like 5. I was looking so spend u know like 1200 or so on the engine. i have my tranny and its rebuilt and i also have a new clutch and such for the tranny i wanted a 2nd gen bc it isnt TOO much hp and im pretty sure a 2nd gen engine and its amount of hp will be fine in a 5sfe. So basically 1200 or so on engine and the rest on other things that may come up along the way. If that is the route you want to go there are a few 3sgte's on ebay in your range. As a matter of fact jdm planet has an st185 front clip for $2750 shipped. Also if bing works with ebaymotors (it may not) you can get another 150-200 off your price |

Jumpiin, those cars you see with the full exhausts and the upgraded engines, etc. means (most likely) that they have also been driven hard. Which is a reason why they sell so cheap. Up for sale here is pretty much the opposite. A low mileage, original motor, perfect condition car that has always been driven the "right" way and never abused. I have seen this car in real life twice and I can tell you its MINT. And he doesn't drive like an idiot, either. What I'm saying is, cars that have a lot of money put into them and driven rough = cheap. Cars that have little to no money put into them and were always taken well care of and driven safely = $$$. Anyways, good luck with the sale Chris. People need to realize it isn't hate to come in here and let a guy know that a price is way high. It deserves the respect and a small bump in value for being low mileage and well taken care of. Most people that point this out are looking to buy or have the experience of selling their celi and are offering their advice. What you shouldn't do is come in here and make stuff up like cars that have a lot of money put into them are worth less - absolutely false. Upgrades are only worth a fraction of what the owner put into them... but they still almost always add some value to a car. I'd love to see your list of swapped 3sgte celis selling for less than stock. Beautiful celi deserves a bump, ignore my rant if you want. Good Luck. |

Just so you know, I painted mine black. Not sure if just some paint thinner would get it off? If you have a red car though it does look very nice. I can get you a pic of it if you are still interested and will give it to you for like a buck just pay shipping if the bumper buyer doesnt want. thanks- I need the front bumper toyo emblem. Let me know if whoever buys the bumper already has one or doesnt need it. Thanks. Ha kinda perfect since I already painted my rear emblem black. Did the front bumper guy take the emblem? I appreciate it. |

I saw my name come up so here I am. First of all good luck with the sale. Secondly I think you know what I want to say so I am not going to say it out loud. My only advice would be to detail your engine and price your car based on how much it really costs and not how much you have put into it. On a 100% bone stock vehicle of any kind you can expect the following depreciation schedule. 20-40% of the value drops the second its taken off dealership even with 1 mile put onto the car. In a trade in situation dealers have a field day with people who bought a car they cant afford and need to sell it back. I am currently shopping for an evo and on evo forums this one guy has less than 10K miles on a brand new evo that he bought for 35 and best return price he can find at a dealer is 27 even though his car has every single option upgrade installed. Staying on topic. For every 10000 miles that you drive price of car drops 1000 dollars. On a 18000 car so far we have average 30% drop which is 12600 then take off 1 grand for every 10000 miles so value of the car is 2600 in excellent condition. Kelly Blue Book pricing may differ slightly. Any kind of aftermarket upgrades add sentimental value to the car and only depreciate car even more if sold to a dealer. But like I said before. Good luck with the sale. Is that lamborgini orange with metal flake on the car? Can someone remove this ridiculous post? Besides the fact that it craps on the guy's sale, it is filled with so much BS I had to put my boots on just to post in here. Buddy, your math is so retarded, I don't know where to begin. Anywho OP - good luck with the sale, very unique and beautiful celica. |

I have looked at 7gc seats on ebay but I can find many. I wanted to know if anyone had them for a decent price. Keep an eye on newcelica.org (7th gen site). You can usually find part outs going on. Problem with seats usually is shipping (usually runs like 100-150 just to ship). Also, good condition leather seats go for 200-400 - I am not sure what you are looking to spend. |

lookin for cheap parts to turbo my car. On a tight budget and hopefully u guys will understand and give me tips and etc. Thanks alot! I'm not sure what you would consider cheap, but even parts with miles aren't cheap. There's not a ton of turbo options for the 6gc. Most people end up doing the swap instead.. more bang for your buck. What is it, over 2 grand to turbo a 5sfe? Others would know better. |

I too would be interested if the price is right. It's tough seeing the post face lifts on ebay for so cheap and then having to shell out over triple that for the 94-95. I guess that's what I get for getting a 95. It sucks they were never mass produced. It's no knock to wolfie because it is not like I think he is trying to cheat people. I do believe it costs that much to hand make. But I personally am not looking for a little cheaper than he makes, I am looking for a lot cheaper (1/3 price). Oh well may be stuck. GL vince. |

WTB used catalitic converter. klots007@yahoo.com Forgetting the legality, why exactly do you want a used cat? i'm pretty sure you just answered you own question I mean I understand that, but you have no idea what you are getting with a used cat - not really an easy way to tell condition. You could end up replacing your junked one with one in the same condition. I guess if you have nothing, it's better than that but I would just go new. |

There's virtually no information in your sale pitch OP. What do potential buyers want to know? Everything - start from there. |
