I'm wondering if there are any members in the boise area that have experience with 6gc's and would be interested in helping me swap in a 3sgte? Its about that time to get it done and it would be nice to find a member with a garage and tools in the area.
Also, any suggestions appreciated!

Yep, pretty happy with it. Its super clean, Only thing I'm worried about is the little amount of time the previous owner had it. He was some 19 year old kid, totally a teenage driver. I had to remove some decals of fat girl silhouettes from the windows immediately after i bought it... lol. He drove me around in his new Frs (which is why he was selling the Celica) and showed me all the super cool burn outs he left around the neighborhood. He was a super nice guy, don't get me wrong, just the standard 19yr old kid thats into stop light racing and fast looking cars. Anyway, yea... 97's old ride is in good hands now to say the least.

Not going to lie though, I felt pretty ninja finding this car on here. 6gc.net>carfax when buying a celica. haha.

So Sadly a few months ago a negligent driver ran a stop sign and t-boned my Celica. To say the least I was pretty depressed/angry that the love of my life was destroyed... I had some plans yet to be done, and a hand full of upgrades already carried out. But I had to come to terms with my carless state.



Luckily I am centrally located in my city and have been riding my bike as primary transportation.
But i could never quite get Celica's out of my mind and felt super nostalgic/butt hurt every time i would see a 6gc.



I finally received my settlement from the insurance company and was trying to decide what kind of car to get, I toyed with the idea of buying a smaller retro/classic car but that fell through because i didn't want to deal with the mpg or maintenance. Then i thought about just getting a Suburu or small truck, but then i was like screw it, '6gc 4 life!' haha.
so the hunt began.

Came across a whole lot of junkers and ultra high mileage Celi's but none of them seemed to be worth it. Then i found an ad for a Celica in Washington with a gt4 exterior conversion. At first i was a bit iffy on it because the guy had only owned it for a few months and didn't seem to know anything about the car or the parts it had. For a few weeks i was the fence about buying it, because what if it was all knock off parts or had been abused like most mod'd cars are, or maybe there is something else wrong with it. Then I thought to myself it would be crazy if the person who previously owned the car wasn't on this site. So i did a simple search, and Bam! found it. After I found the vehicles history on here i knew it was a clean buy, and the original owner seemed to take really good care of it. Hopped on a bus the next day and picked her up. Registered her today. Maybe some of you on here will recognize her, what do ya think?



Upgrade! i still miss my old Celica, but this a more than adequate replacement. It has all the stuff my old Celi had plus more, I'm pretty happy with it.

just dug the stuff out of storage and it seems that the airbag for the wheel is missing.
so if you're still interested i can let just the steering wheel go for cheap. 50+shipping or best offer?

I have a few extra parts from swapping things out in my celica... shoot me a message if your interested.

-a set of usdm Hatch taillights
-a single left side hatch taillight
-an oem steering wheel + airbag
-a 7th gen steering wheel
- a right side silver side-view mirror

After i had just put on the rims.

really considering getting this done! would it be pretty much the same thing for 7th gen rims?

my clutch is beginning to go out on my 95 st, is there a certain clutch i should get? or should i just get an OEM replacement?

there is only one other 6g Celica in my town, and it looks exactly like mine as well haha.

i dont really care for super performance anyway so its not like it impresses me anyway plus mustangs pshhh not cool anyway lol.
...I just really like 2dr hatchbacks, especially 6g celicas. so Nik how much are you asking for yours? i'm interested now that the kit is gone. kits are just a real drag, too much hassle when driving around.

how much you asking for yours Nik? im not really into extravagant bodykits but eh i'll consider it.

#3 has a 2.2L in it. guy said the local shop had it put in.
this one is the cheapest i've come across, seems like a good deal but im not sure if i should wait for another one to pop up somewhere for sale.
and yeah #1 does seem like a racer boy so that was kinda unsettling. do you guys think 2500 is a good price for #3 i worked him down from 3000
