The End of an Era

Tonight, i have just been delivered some terrible news.

After selling my car on, which was then passed on again to someone who actually cared about the car... all has come to an end.

My car was involved in an accident (not at fault i must add), resulting in the car being written off, no longer on the road, not repairable... frown.gif Hits you right in the feels.

This car was what got me into the car scene...
I have met many great friends, learnt a vast amount of knowledge and have hopefully inspired many people to modify their own cars during my progress of my build.

Hopefully my photos will live on, in which i believe to still be the best looking car i have/will own.

tongue.gif I was originally not going to wire them up. They are the most stupid sounding horn ever! I'm not even using the relay with them (makes them louder) and I don't like it tongue.gif luckily I'm not really a horn user.

thumbsup.gif You'll figure it out. As you said, you can use people cars who actually owns them, but it may come down to their images not being up to quality than one of mine/someone else's has to be made.
Either way, I should be in for a calendar regardless.

tongue.gif I'm still around, just looking these days, not posting.

I'm not overly fussed on my photos being included. Of course i'd love it, but as you said, more benefitting someone who still owns theirs.
In saying that, i know 100% where my car is, who owns it and what they are doing to it...but it comes down to Malpasso and if he needs another High Res photo, in which he already has all mine wink.gif

Bump. Added a Brightness/Contrast, Masking, Photo Filter, Sharpening post to the Adjustments section on Page 1.

Note: Sorry about image size, lack of celica, and the fact it was a quick throw-together. wink.gif

Richee, what are you looking to do? Or just after some more general tips?
I can try pick up some more of it (thanks to this reminder from you) but it would be based on a newer, and mac, version of photoshop.

If anyone is after anything in particular, I can work on a tutorial for you!

According to the guide, your best bet is the 9" one. A 5mm spacer won't show too greatly so your better off keeping the spacers to a minimum if you can.

Only concern would be how close the rim will sit to your strut (which you may HAVE to use that 5mm spacer or so)
But if that's all good, get the right tyre specs and you'll be sweet. But personally I think the 'flush look on stock suspension' will look a little off.

I want the Hellas just for the looks, I haven't heard any in person, but I dislike how they sound in videos on YouTube.

Every 17x8+35 wheel will sit the same. Although some wheel designs curve their spokes outwards, making them look more flush than usuall. You will have to be more aware or scratching them with those types. Other types are concave etc.

But in the end, the edge of the lip of the rim, where the tyre sits, will be the exact same on the same sized wheels.

17x8 +35 with them tyres would fit absolutely fine. They would sit pretty good too, close to flush, but 'shouldn't' need to roll your guards. The higher the offset number you go the more sucked in they will look. So if you can get them in the +35 I think you would be pretty happy with how they look.

They won't be 'uber' flush, or pokey or stanced, but will fill out nicely.

Hey Team

You guys will probably think Im crazy, but getting 5x100 wheels in New Zealand for a 6gc with a low offset is impossible, anyway found and bought something with these specs in the UK and hoping they will be just right for a super flush look.

Fronts: 18 x 8.5 25P
Rears: 18 x 9.5 25P

Wheels are currently in a container being shipped to NZ.

Will keep everyone posted and will post pics when they on the car. thumbsup.gif

Cheers

They won't be flush, they will poke, but should look awesome.
You'll need rolled guards and stretched tyres if your lowered.

I think it would be more beneficial to buy a better low km one and re-mod it. Would nearly work out the same. He's asking more than hat he paid for it tongue.gif

It's actually lower than the celica!!
I'll de-badge it tongue.gif
Colour is pretty cool in the sun.
Pretty sure it would beat a gt-four tongue.gif

I still miss the Celica, but am enjoying this alot more. My celica is back up for sale, I should just buy it back tongue.gif
