thanx spidey I think the damn end of the sensor is broke off in the tranny which sux! not sure what im going to do yet. The weird part is most parts stores say that it doesnt have one. I swapped this tranny out years ago think I pulled it out of a camry not sure. It is a a140 though. It wont shift into second clean and is giving a 42 code so if Im opening it up fixing to replace the number 2 solenoid and fix stupid sensor while Im at it.

QUOTE (JMcD @ Oct 10, 2012 - 2:01 PM) *
I've got a 97 GT vert limited edition that my kids have been driving the last 5 years. Green with Camel top. I had a new top installed 3 years ago. Son is getting ready to head off to college in the next year or so, so I need to replace it. ~145,000 miles in good mechanical shape. Ding on back bumper and hood probably needs re-painting. All original parts. Pretty sure the front bumper was knocked off prior to me getting it, as the front emblem is silver while the rest are the Black Chrome. It's been a great car and kept in the garage since we've had it. I'm in East Texas. Any idea what it maybe worth to 6gen lovers, or should I just trade it in on a new purchase?

I might be interested how much you looking to get out of it

Its really thick so dont think that its oil. Now I'll have to check diff. level and seee if its low. Celi starting to bum me out though!!!!!

ok we live and we learn. I took the oil pan off today. scraped all the rtv off and wiped it all down. The oil pan has noticable dimples at bolt holes is this from someone over torquing or are they supposed to be like that? Also any technique tips someone could offer up so I dont ever have to do this again! I know I should of planned to replace oil pump and stuff at the same time but just couldnt afford it right now. What else should I look at with the pan off? THANX

like it says I replaced the oil pan gasket with a piece of #%% cork gasket from autocrapzone and sure enough it started to leak again. could this be a engine seal or something else? The leak is right under the stupid flywheel shield so its really hard to see and replace. Have to remove the center bar to get to the oil pan. Any ideas
thanx for the help guys!!
