Hi all, I just noticed an issue with my front brakes. ![]() This is happening to the inner and outer pads on the front brakes. Could it be that I have the wrong pads, or the rotors have been machined down more than 300mm. Also I noticed that on turns the ball joints come in contact with the rotors. I can clearly see the marks engraved on the front rotors from the ball joint. Would anyone know what is the cause of these 2 issues? |

I had recently replaced my drive shaft about 3 months ago and today I realized its failed again. While doing a right turn it made the same clicking sound as before. So im pretty sure its the drive shaft. Im using the s54 tranny with the 3rd gen 3sgte engine and my best guess is that it cannot handle the power on take off or when shifting down to over take. I just wanted to what you guys think and or if anyone has experienced the same issue. Would I need to change to the more powerful MR2 tranny with lsd? Cheers. |

You should be fine. The wheels will sit flush in line with the body of your car. Maybe the fronts will stick out a tiny bit. Also since they are 17" you shouldn't get any rubbing on the rear.. Depending on your tire size. I currently have (Fronts: 18x8 +30) (Rears: 18x9 +30) and i had to get my rear guards rolled. Hope this helps ![]() btw that wheel looks freakin nice! |

I recently completed my 3rd Gen 3SGTE swap. I cant exactly remember where I purchased my cut from (some place from Revesby). But there is another place that Ive bought parts from and they are good. The place is Ichiban (http://www.ichiban.com.au/) give them a call as their website is not always up to date. I also got my car engineered by Col Potts (Col Potts Engineering Pty Ltd) He is authorised by the RTA. He is really easy going. The inspection for my car only took 30mins, and he even told me i didn't need to upgrade my brakes just gets good brake pads (but i had already done the brakes). I hope this info helps ![]() |

I wish i could afford an aftermarket ecu but im pretty broke atm lol. Your lucky uv already got the fuel injectors to go with ur new ecu. If i do get one it will probably be a Link G4 plug in ecu. Check out the website below. http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine-man...g4-plug-in-ecus |
