ok so what I am going to do is use st246 pistons with eagle rods. I am going to use it for time attack.

your biggest limitation with the mr2 platform IMO will be intercooling.
keep that in check, (provided your tune is adequate of course) and you shouldnt have any problems.
one of the reasons i think the 3s in the celica vs the mr2 mod for mod tends to make more power is because we tend to run good size front mounts, or the water to air intercooler in the case of the 3rd gens.
good luck with your build! smile.gif

got the big intercooler setup in the trunk.

I own a sw20 currently have a gen 3 swap, and I just purchase a caldina gen4 short block (headgasket came with it)from rpmgarage, plan on being 100 octane, this is a track car.how good is the short block going to hold, I know a few people say that the rods are thinner, same as beams (same part number), but I did see one make 394whp 22psi 100octane, with just bolt ons, who else on there celica has good succes with there 4th gen engine. here are my specs,http://rides.turbomagazine.com/ride/1013953/deseroner/1991/toyota/mr2/index.html
the reason I went with this block high compression, stronger block currently have gen3 97 block not the revised around the water pump.
