Man these things can never go smoothly. I got the seal out then the new one was a pain in the ass to get in...its not flush but I got it in as far as I could. Now the axle won't go in. It started raining, but hopefully a 2x4 and a hammer will do the trick and if I'm lucky the transmission wll be in one peace |

Shhhh**t.....so this may have been my fault. It turns our the bracked to the passenger side axel came loose and the axel popped out. I can only hope no damage was done to the tranny. Idk how the hell that happened I tightened it as tight as I could get it |

I was pulling out of the gas station driving off switching into third then I realized the car wasn't accelerating....at first I thought it was the clutch, but that was changed 3000 miles ago. I pull over and. Gear oil is pouring outta the transmission. Its not the plugs so I'm guessing it has to be the axel seal and with my luck its the passenger side one. That could be the only thing that would make it pour our fluid right? |

Might go this route....sand them down clean then them with alchohol, spray and then oil them |

I think I will try the power wash first. It seems less invasive and if it works I can just dry out the seats then throw some conditioner on there |

Yes, I was thinking of taking it out to those DIY car washes and getting the power wash on it. It was in good condition idk why they would attempt to paint it. |

Got a great deal on these so I had to pick them up. I have been looking for a pair for a while....Only problem was the seller let them sit in this outdoor garage type area so they were really dirty so when I got them home I got a rag and was scrubbing them as hard as I could to get all the dirt off....then parts started peeling off the back. The i recall the seller telling me I could spray paint the seats. Im thinking thats what he did....cuz leather doesnt peel like that. I am going to attempt to take the power wash to the seats to clean them really good. I hope this doesnt damage them... what do you guys think? Here are some pics ![]() |

I am trying to figure out where I should start diagnosing...this issue I am having with the car. So I have a 94 ST with a 97 engine/ecu and some unknown harness. The fuel pump does not get power until the car is turned on so I have to jump for it to run when I crank the car. The car also doesnt start without the help of starter fluid and a lot of trial. Now when it does start I turn the ignition off and the car is still running, I take the key out of the ignition and the car is still running, I take the negative battery pole out and the car is still running, I take the positive battery pole off and the car still runs, I take off the EFI fuse and it still runs...Im about to remove the alternator wire, but then I think hey this may not be a good idea....so i start removing wires for the dizzy and it finally shuts off.... What a car, it starts when it wants and shuts off when it wants. I cant win here. |

Yes, who knows why the ingition doesnt turn it off, but I am going to install the new harness and corss my fingers that it solves all the problems. BTW it could just be the exhuast making me feel like I am going faster than I am, but it feels faster than my 5s. Smaay: They had a blacktop swap in the car. It took me a whole to figure out, but it makes sense why they have the ae111 ecu and an external blacktop coil mounted next to the igniter. The oil is the dirtiest oil I have ever seen and I think it may have been contaminated with gasoline. I bet its the same oil thats been in the engine since it was swapped out of whatever car it came from. I still need to pick up a map sensor, igniter connector and diagnostic port from the junkyard then I can start the rewiring. It doesnt seem too difficult. I hope I dont end up eating those words. |

Yea, if it was a simple relocation I could do it in 20 minutes. The extra step I am having is I am using a new engine harness where the battery terminals have been cut . So what I need to know is WHAT cables run to the positive side of the battery terminal. Is it just the fuse block and starter cable? |

I have seen the previous thread discussing this, but my case is a little different. I am going to be running 0 guauge from the hood to the trunk of my car. I am also going to make my own battery box, but what wires am I connecting exactly? I bought a battery harness and the battery wires were cut off. I know there is a black and white cable that connects to the main fuse in my fuse box so I am assuming one of them as well as one wire to the starter? What about the alternator wire? Does the alternator wire connect to the batter, the starter or the main use block? Harness is from a 97 celica st and the other electrical system should be from a 94 celica st |

If you remove the fan switch connector and the fans dont turn on your problem has something to do with the fan. If it turns on then you should check the thermostat to make sure its opening or the sensor the switch is connected to. |
