QUOTE(Mynzeyes @ Jan 9, 2005 - 1:22 PM) or, i can delete all the nonsense. and streetdreamz94 can post information about his car, other than "it's for sale". sure that's a high price for such a car, but that's his decision. if it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. if someone is dumb enough to buy it for that price, then that's their problem. just let it go guys. street: more info about your car is very necessary for you to sell it on these boards. esp considering most people here already have a celica. also, everyone here knows about the celica, and that it's overpriced, so, it would be beneficial to you to post more info, and justify that price. any further flaming one way or another will be deleted, so please don't even bother. -John- Wow, first time I've seen a moderator try to kill a flame war by flaming the seller himself. :-P My favorite comment: "if someone is dumb enough to buy it for that price, then that's their problem." hahaha nice work. :-P - aba |

Sorry guys have been out of town with a family emergency and been catching up with work for a while... Um..not sure what's left. Lacs21, the coilovers for sure are still here. Oh yeah, and maybe the car. Seller might be backing out because they passed some emissions laws in his county in Washington state and starting this year 95's have to be smogged there. So if anyone wants the car...I'm going to be fixing some stuff up on it. I fixed the idle and the cold start so they are working now but both are still a little rough and I'll keep going with that. I'm going to be buying another 3sgte harness for connectors and stuff and redoing the haltech harness utilizing as many of the stock sensors as possible so it's clean/secure/tucked away. Right now it is a mess. And I think I'm going to try and get my wideband back from whoever borrowed it and invest some more time street tuning it to eliminate a couple dead spots with it and try to get the exhaust worked out a little better.. Also got a friend at a body shop who's going to respray the fender and nose and possibly hood. Soooo, right now I guess I'm going to hold off on the sale a bit unless someone really wants the car. In current condition I was selling it for $5k so I'll take any offer around that for it. Which kind of sucks when you look up KBB on it and realize that the thousands upon thousands I've put into it are worth about $500 now that I'm selling it. :-P - aba ahastings@gmail.com |

Someone want this for $6k shipped? I went out and drove it around this morning. I'm actually kind of bummed I'm selling it now because it's pretty good, I just need to get rid of it for the new car. Runs and drives good, just needs a dyno tune for the idle and top end. - aba |

Okay sorry I've been away for the weekend. I will sell anything not attached to the car seperately. Headlights, springs, gauge pillar, whatever.. The drop on the springs is adjustable. The car is perfectly legal and registered in Maine until October 2005. If your state is strict on smog, it probably won't work. Here are PICTURES: http://www.tmssiberians.org/car_pics/ That is the index page...the individual pictures are about 600-700k each and will take a while to load. Sorry. - aba |

Hey guys, Selling my long time project car and parts. Got a new car and trying to get rid of all this. 1995 Toyota Celica GT (silver) 3rd gen 3sgte swap with CT20B turbo Engine rebuild about 4,000 miles ago with JE Pistons and Eagle rods.. all the goodies in the bottom end. 8.5:1 compression. All ARP hardware used everywhere...rods, head, flywheel. Broken in right with oil changed at 500, 1000, and 2500 miles. 3rd gen head wasn't touched. Haltech E6K engine management JDM (can't remember brand) 9lb flywheel custom clutch by blacktrax performance out here in Bay Area, CA. Nice clutch. Copper/Kevlar setup. Bites hard. um... front mount intercooler with some kind of ghetto looking aluminum pipes. Some hack did these for me as a temp job and i never got them fixed. Blitz DD BOV Supra TT fuel pump (the real one) 3 gauge pod pillar. A couple autometer gauges.. boost and air / fuel a couple picked through sets of st205 gaskets. Exhaust is a full 3" from the turbo back with a blitz muffler. It's loud. 3" polished intake pipe with filter. I have an apex'i filter laying around somewhere too. Have some uninstalled dropzone coilovers and some other little accessories like short shifter and crap. Also has 16" celica gt-s rims and kumho tires on it with a lot of use left. Oh, and about 30 gallons of 103 octane if you want it. Before the engine originally blew (hence the rebuild) it put down 227 ft lbs to the wheels. This was on a way-too-aggressive tune that had a lean spot that blew cylinder 2. It has since been retuned to run super rich but never leaned out and optimized yet. The car is driveable...I use it to go to work some days. It has quite a bit of pick up to it. Now the problems: It sat in storage for over a year, then got shipped cross country. This was hard on it and there are some scraps on the fenders and the nose paint is chipping off. I was planning on repainting the entire thing once I had the cash. The engine has never really run right.. It runs rich as all hell now and the idle sucks. It also doesn't like the cold. It idles very smooth in 90+ degree heat. I think it just needs to be taken some time with and get on a dyno with a real tuner and get everything smoothed out. There could be a vacuum leak but I haven't been able to find it to date. Oh also everything is pretty dirty and could use a good through detailing. Also got... a 95% complete st205 conversion for the body. - st205 Hood - st205 Nose - most of the little grills and crap. I'm missing a couple seals and a grille i think for the nose. The hood and nose are pretty dirty and look worse than they are. - st205 tails - st205 headlights (projection, ALL 4) The headlights and tails alone are worth a G. I'm looking to get a grand for all of the st205 parts + shipping or local pickup in Nor Cal. The headlights are mint and still in the original toyota boxes from japan. The tails are used. The hood has some standard small dings in it from shipping that get filled in when you paint it. I'm looking for best offer on the car and all the acessories. I've literally got about $3k just in the engine rebuild for parts and labor.. not including the original cost of an ST205 engine. the haltech is another grand or so and all the other little parts add up quickly as you know. I'm only really looking to get back about a third of what I've spent on this car. This is about 5-6 grand, but any offers considered. Shipping is pretty cheap now-a-days.. I think this would run around $750 hub to hub depending on where you live to ship the car. The st205 stuff not sure how much to ship. I honestly think with a couple grand in work and some time and some paint and someone could have a very nice car out of this. I unfortunately work for one of the few internet companies in silicon valley that's still around and have no time. I also just bought a new car to have something reliable and don't want it just sitting around anymore like it has the last couple months. I will have to find some time to take pictures of everything if anyone's interested. Any more questions, please don't hesitate to email me at ahastings@gmail.com - Aaron |

110 octane? PLEASE. That's not even unleaded I bet. You're killing your engine buddy. I'm with Kuya... higher octane fuel is actually just harder to ignite...hence why people use water injection as an "octane booster" to prevent detonation. Putting 91 or 93 in your 4 cylinder engine that was designed to run on 87 will do nothing for you except hurt your wallet. - abatardi, bored and sitting in the airport in Newark F@#$ing, NJ... Did you know that celica.net is "banned for content" from airport internet terminals? Learn something every day. |

I was just gonna say this... heat, humidity, barometric pressure, etc. all have effects on your engine. My car is a lot faster in the cold weather but runs smoother in the heat. - aba |

yeah so I could further humiliate myself by showing the rest of the world what god-awful sounds my car makes... Here's the sound of turning a corner and taking off: Idle: chug chug chug..KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK (sound of my exhaust pipe hitting cuz the engine is running too rough).. Turning a corner: rrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOW *SCRREEEECH* (power steering growling and squeeking). Taking off: vvvvvvvrrroooooooOOOOOOMMM KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK GUH GUH GUH *CHIRP* vroooooooOOOOOM PSSSSSH I really gotta tune the fuel curve on this thing. The idle is horrible and combine that with lightweight flywheel and stiff pressure plate and it makes it difficult to take off sometimes. - aba |

I don't think about it when driving in the rain... you're not driving the car like a psychopath all the time... you learn to drive it normally and you instinctively compensate in poor weather conditions. I did race a VW R32 this morning tho. He was pulling on me, but baaaarely... just inching away slowly. That was pretty cool considering my car is definitely not running to potential right now (running about 11:1 AFR under boost). - aba |

from standalone you will... they aren't talking about "ecu hacking" and chipping it, but going full standalone. 30 whp is definitely possible there. On a 3sgte you're elmininating a restrictive AFM and tuning the fairly rich fuel curves. - aba |

Easy... get a lotek pod and a stock pillar and cut/hack/mold them together with fiberglass until it looks good and you have the basic shape. This is just going to be for your cast so it doesn't matter if it looks good or not. Then make your mold from this piece and do it all up in carbon fiber. Of course doesn't this peice have to flex a bit to install/remove from the car? Would have to make sure that the thickness of the carbon fiber isn't so much that it's not a bit flexible. - aba |
