I want to buy the front struts from a gt. The ones with the threaded piece that allows you to insert the cartridge. I do not need the actual cartridge itself.

Do you have the stock front shocks for your car? Or just the front part that you insert the cartridge into?

The front shocks on certain models are non rebuildable. I checked at a couple places and for the 1998 celica gt convertible it is not.

If I cut off the top and insert the cartridge what keeps it in place?

Can someone detail this process so that i know exactly what to do.

My dad has a 1998 Toyota Celica GT convertible. We got some KYB GR2's part numbers: 365092 AND 334125 AND 334126. We also have H&R sports.

For the front shocks they are just the cartridge (straight tube with nothing on it). There is no perch for the spring to rest on.

What am i supposed to do (about there being no perch)?

I looked at the suspension install DIY article but i need to know specifically about this aspect of the install.

Thanks for your help.
