Is this registerable in the USA? Thats a hell of a deal. Whereabouts in Toronto? I'm seriously considering the drive up from Rochester, NY for it. Anyone know how easy it is to import this? Is it as simple as filling out some paperwork at the boarder and you're ready to go? Sara still hasn't picked up the other car yet and this is a much better deal. Would we have to go up there with NY plates and registration before we could drive it back? Im just east of the city (Toronto). In fact, I can see Rochester across the lake on a clear day haha, maybe I could sail it across? as far as registering goes, if I remember correctly, Canada has more strict regulations in regards to registering. So I don't think there will be many problems on that end. I recall when my dad bought his xrunner from Carolina... he just had to make sure he had DRL's hooked up for Canada standards. Jeez, if I still lived in KY I would happily drive up and get this thing for that price. Too bad I'm now in UT. With that said.. I would be willing to buy the GT-4 hood and bumper at a fair price. If you don't need the money in a hurry, you could make much more than what you're asking if you parted this thing out. yeah man i hear you, id like to sell as a whole.. I would part out if i really had to, but I dont want a celica frame sitting on my lawn for a year with a bunch of engine parts. it would be a shame to break her apart. thanks for the link!! He's not replying because he might be having second thoughts on price? LOL just a thought sorry guys, i work pretty sh!tty hours. can only get on here early mornings and late afternoons EST. my apologies. and hey... if you guys want to pay me more for the car... by all means lol i wont argue. I just think my price is reasonable and set to sell fast... hopefully by this weekend. I know quite a few of you guys are interested. |

About a month back my indicators starting playing tricks on me. At first when ever I signaled to turn either "Left" or "Right" both indicators would flash as if I had pressed my hazard button. About a week went by before they stopped lighting up at all. Now just today I started the car up and realized my gas gauge was not where it had been the night before (just under half a tank) but was now way below empty. I'm going to open up the gauge tomorrow to take a look to see if a wire is loose but I'm suspecting it may just be a blown fuse. I just wanted to know if anyone may know the cause before I take out the gauge cluster. Here's a pic: ![]() Thanks! |

Yeah, all fixed. You we're right, I had to grease the slider pins. Theres still a little bit of noise back there but I think its due to my rotors and pads. my pads aren't the greatest and they sound like they are grinding every time I break. Going to switch them out soon. But thanks for the advice about the pins... would have taken me a while to figure it out haha. |

probably a dumb question. if you switch from drums to rotors in the rear... will the ebrake shoes still fit and work with the rotor? I don't believe so. & You shouldn't reuse old pads when upgrading to a different setup good to know... so im assuming there would be no use for the ebrake anymore. just leave the car in gear when parking.... that's what im doing atm anyways. |

So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on brake lines. I know there are numerous sets on ebay, but I'm not sure if they can be trusted. I am looking for a nice stainless steel set to replace my current stock ones on my st204 GTS. Also another question... I had my rear passenger side caliper replaced this past fall... and for some reason I have always had issues on that side. Whenever I brake and then start to drive I hear this knocking sound as if my brakes are seizing and grabbing to the rotor, but its never consistent. It will do it a few times in a row while in a slow speed but once I have sped up it stops and only occurs again when braking. Do you guys think this may be due to the brake lines? or just sh*ty installation of the caliper at the shop? or is it something completely different... I know it may be difficult to tell but I can always try to get a video up to help decipher the problem. Let me know what you think and any suggestions about the brake lines. |
