True, the fascia ties it in, but i think that a ssIII grille would almost achieve the same effect.....almost.

Boy I sure do love my SSIII grille. Lol

suspension first definately!

you cant enjoy a fast engine, when you're body rolling like a sail boat!
first is suspension, then engine and last is looks!

you heard the expression all show, no go!? do you really want to be 'that' kid!!

i have the same problem.

early yesterday, i filled the tank to a click... then added an extra 30-40 cents (CND) to round up to the nearest dollar.
I didnt see anything overflowing at the time... i then drove about 30-40 kms on the highway to the mechanic..
once up on the hoist the mechanic pointed it out... a strong gas smell... no drips, no visible leaks, just smell...

ill have to take a closer look.. hopefully i just overfilled the tank!

sphinxxx: So you just let the car sit on the little grooves where the stock jack is supposed to go, with pieces of wood inbetween?
I guess I can see why he didn't want me using the car cover I had, it was really ****ty compared to that one haha. Is there any specific materials to look for or any brands to look out for for a car cover? Also since they are so tight, are they car specific?

yea pretty much... with wood blocks holding up the tires a bit to reduce sag

you can jack it up and support the car from the frame rails too i suppose, as long as you use the flat wood peices, and as long as your rails arent rotted out!

as for the covers... there are some that are vehicle specific... but mine isnt.. just look for 100% waterproof and microfilm inner lining.
dont forget the elastic bottom! if you must you can tie the cover down! like this... but on a car!

first, spacer that include the studs and the ones that use extended studs can be both safe if you get the right ones

second, not all spacers are the same

the key word when buying spacers is HUBCENTRIC yes your right about this! VERY IMPORTANT!

your spacer selection should go like this

1- how thick you need it ? IMO if you have to use more than 20mm spacers, you`re better off just getting lower offset rims!
2- do you need bolt pattern conversion why would you! 5x100 rules! we can rock all types of subaru rims!!
3- MAKE sure they are hubcentric and designed for your specific car YES MAKE SURE!!

you should stay away from ANY universal spacer, spacers should be made for an specific application, like for example, a spacer made for the celica will not fit a Dodge neon even when both cars have the same bolt pattern, the hub is different.

the spacers with studs already on them are mainly used for bolt pattern conversion or very thick spacers where extended studs are not available ( 1 inch or more )
you can get extended studs for up to 20 mm spacers, and this should be your first option, but not because the ones with studs are not safe, but because the less nuts you have to torque down, the less likely you are to leave one loose or not torqued to spec. That alone is more than enough reason for me to worry!

LOL you sure do go all out.
So you change your oil befroe you store it, then do you change it again once you take it out or just drive on that same oil?
Where exactly did you place your jack stands?
Last year I just left it uncovered and let it sit. I would usually brush it off when it snowed though. Do you think thats bad for it?

My dad and I got in an argument about it and he said the cover is just going to flap around and scratch the paint and everything untill there was enough snow to keep it in one spot. I gave in and let him win that battle haha, and left it uncovered. Didn't see any damage to it after that.

yea what can i say i love my cars!

i get free oil changes so for me its not an issue but you dont HAVE to get new oil...

the jack stands i put at the pinch points as directed by the manual.. only thing is i put a peice of flat wood between the car and stand.

letting it sit with no cover... i wouldn't... just imagine all the ice, dirt, salt, bird poop, UV rays and other factors that get at your paint during 5 months!
and the flapping around... thats why i said get a good high quality cover... the ones that fit snug and have the elastic band at the bottom you can tie it down too if you like..

i cant see this flapping around too much!... not my car.. but very similar! the car cover i have is 100% waterproof with some microfiber layer inside to extract moisture! it was like $100 bucks!

This is what i do... not necessarily in this order!

-Full top to bottom detail, wash, wax, and polish, vacume and all... the works!
-Jack the car up, put in your jack stands, and under the wheels put a block of wood... then lower the jack a little, so the wheels arent sagging soo much
-Cover the seats with a cotton blanket or sheet to keep moisture away from the fabric/leather,
-Put a couple new air fresheners opened all the way! ( i hate when people just open it part way and leave the plastic bag hanging... i HATE it! lol )
-Make sure you have at least half a tank of gas, cause the gas will break down over time... do not leave it empty!... also add a fuel stabilizer.
-Change the oil.. old oil can have acidic deposits that can eat away little by little over months and months!
-Disconnect the battery of course for obvious reasons!
-Moth balls yes in the glove box, trunk, and under the hood.
-Get a high quality car cover! dont cheap out and use a crappy blue tarp!! do it right!

In my experiance with spacers....
If you get the spacers that DONT already include the wheel bolts than you should be okay with just extended studs on the hub... the spacers WITH wheel studs built in i wouldn't trust!

Spacers are mainly all the same just make sure you dont go too thick, cause the hubs/bearing take a beating! especially if you're slammed!

installing those belts the wrong way will hurt you alot more than help you in a crash.
no to mention banging your head off the bars, cause last i checked, i dont know many people who wear helmets while they drive on the street.

In my honest opinion... and i mean no offense... its your life do with it as you please!

But if you're getting the seat belt harness just to look cool, big mistake!

a 4 point seatbelt harness is not a toy, or a cosmetic mod to look cool!
its a purpose built safety restraint system for track use only!!

do it right or don't bother doing it at all, it may save your life!

thats all i have to say!

Im sure i will be flamed for this but i have my sealt belt bar attached to my rear strut bar

wow, unsafe dude!

picture this... God forbid you get into an accident where your car rolls over!

What happens with stock seatbelts is if the roof collapses you can slide to the right to prevent your head from getting crushed.
With a 4-point, you can't move at all and guess what? Your head is the highest point in the car!

To the OP use an roll bar/cage no matter what, so in the event of a roll over your head isn't crushed.

it definitely WONT be safe without the bar, there are certain standards that the bar must keep to be considered safe!
not to mention, im pretty sure its illegal in some states to have 4point harnesses in use for regular city driving.

you might consider a removeable seat belt bar, such as...

ok like ryan ^ said...

you can buy the yellow H3 bulb which are not really so yellow...
BUT if you pair that with painted/covered fog light housings then its much more yellow...
still not HID 3500K Yellow... but it looks good! IMO!

ive got yellow H3 bulbs with Painted yellow housings, this is how they look! mind you thats with one medium coat of yellow!

im more of a lighter yellow kind of guy, i personally dont like when my fogs out power/shine my headlights!

picture doesnt really do it justice... if i can get a better one i will!

i've always gone to the car wash, soaked the engine bay down with the "tire cleaner/degreaser" that they have, then spray all the wheels with it, then rinse the engine bay with the "wax." immediately after that, i soak the whole bay down in armor all (DO NOT wipe/rise it off), close the hood, and proceed to wash the rest of the car. works great every time, and it comes out super clean.

be mindful of the dizzy though.. too much pressure there will make it misfire until it dries up. no biggie, you just temporarily lose 25% of your power tongue.gif

been there done that... just yesterday actually... engine sputters and bogs and doesnt want to move! Check engine light came on as well... Hasnt gone away yet! is that normal????
