Thanks... and yes I am willing to give up about 5 miles to the gallon. So on average about 25-28 mile to the gallon... Some people I know that have some ugly (no offense any body) civics have to me to put a body kit on the car. Now doesn't the weight of a kit hurt a 4 cylinder like the ST's.

I had recently asked a question about why a set of my tires where trembling so badly... Every one was check your tires' balance and air pressure and all...

Well, I had check my tires' air pressure and all but that did nothing.

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT...
I had took the car to a tire place this morning in my local area and they put two new tires on (the trembling ones where new, too). But unlike the place that had put the trembling ones, this place had a device that spins the tire and tells the person how many weights to put on to stop the wobbling and trembling that I had felt. THIS TYPE OF BALANCE IS CALLED SPEED BALANCE or DYNAMIC BALANCE where as the one that had put the trembling ones on did only a STATIC BALANCE.

The link below tells more in detail about these types of balances. OH, I almost forgot, the tires that where on the car before I got the trembling ones made me think that my car just need an alignment job. But Dynamic Balancing the tires prove to solve that problem as well. Even when the car was new it did not go down the road that straight or that fast without you losing control.

But hay, check out the link, to learn more:

Why do people customize a celica when it is an automatic '94 celica st with almost 110K on it? Why put so much money in to a car like that...? confused.gif

I don't really understand why you want to get rid of the auto because if and I do mean if, you learn how to use the auto's "power mode" (assuming you have a celica from '94-'99 with the dual mode automatic tranny) you can out run a camaro or mustang base all day long. But that is only if the person who own the car before you had taken car of it and you have taken care of it.

They are not uni-directional tires, but they do have a treadwear rating 0f 160AA, and they have 8/32nds of treadlife left. They are LASSA IMPETUS HR65 and they are speed rated at H (130mph) and the car only needs S (112mph) speed rated tires. They have a tread design like DUNLOP G/T QUALIFIER TR tires. I brought them used slightly from a local dealer and they had static balanced them (balanced them on a pivot device) where the original tires where dynamic balanced (on a rotating device). So does that mean any thing? and originally the tires that where on it where almost bold and the suspension needed an alignment job that I still have got for this car yet. So any help on this subject would be appreciated. I am still trying to stop the tremble in the steering wheel though... So please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks yal..........................

I am experiencing a trembling feeling in my steering wheel. All I did was put some tires on 185/65 R14 on a '93 celica st, which is the stock size. They are a little more grippy than the tires that where originally on the car. But now the car trembles and all when I am doing anywhere from 20-70mph or higher. Any one know what could be wrong...?

Thanks yal, After seeing how much some of that equipment cost I THINK no I DO BELIEVE that the ferrari I was going to show off with or against it can just stay away from me. I think I will just admire the man from a distance.

Because unfortunately I have about 5000 dollars that I had recently bet somebody I could out perform a Celica GTS and a Corvette 50th anniversity edition. My car amazingly did it but that was only thinks to the handling and my new tires. All of the racing was on the track in the rain undredibly.

But thanks for the advice on the parts. I don't think I want to be doing all of that to my car.

smile.gif Hi I was just wondering how would you get a celica to out perform a ferrari 360 modena and a lamborghini diablo? Some people have told me that it was possible. And granted that nothing really is impossible, so I was going to toss this out here in the forum room to get your opinions. Some of the people that I talked to told me that my '94 Celica ST could perform on the same level or even better than a ferrari 360 modena.

I love my celica but I am the type of person that wants a car that is powerful and stylish enough to look and out handle and out perform any thing on the street (custom or not). And also I like the statement that it gives that is why I want to out do a ferrari 360 modena.

No crap tall fast and the furious customizations please. And definitely no rice a roni (aka nos).

Hay this you guys and girls... Because I wanted to and will customize it but I don't want to trick it out to the point that it looks lousy and losses the CELICA ST's key feature, ITS HANDLING. So I would like to ask another question... How can you make a car like the Celica look as exotic as a ferrari and perform at that same level? Quote I don't have the 6th gen. Celica GT but a 6th gen Celica ST. So I know that some of the performance I seek won't be there but still how.

Thanks again yal...

I met this person at my local auto parts store and was looking for some aftermarket equipment to put on my 94 celica st ;)and she saids something along the lines that you should not customize your car because it looks nice like it is. Why is it that people dislike other people who exercise their free will and modify their cars? confused.gif

smile.gif About how long does it take for some one to do it? Does it take a week like this guy said in my small town?
