Okay guys, time to spill the beans. I am buying a 98 GT 5speed with 200k miles on it. I am buying from a dealership so the engine wont last as long as being kept up to date like a real owner of a celica would do. Does any of you all have an estimate to when I would need a new engine? I'm going to try to nurse it and baby the hell out of the engine till its last breath but its last breath is inevitable.

I scratched the idea of auto to manual. I'm just going to wait until a 6g GTHB 5 speed pops up somewhere. Patience, patience, patience. Now this topic posting needs to be deleted.

Hello, since I cant seem to find a 6thgen Celica GT Hatchback 5-speed for sale, I have no other option but to buy an automatic and do a manual conversion. In my all honesty I would rather buy an ST and say to hell with it, but nonetheless i am stubborn and must have a 6g GTHB. So grace me with your knowledge fellow 6GC owners!

I need to know what all I need and the prices.

I would very much rather purchase a car off someone on here, than some random craigslist person. Speaking of craigslist, I've been searching most of today and have come across rarely any good taken care off celicas. Its sad to see how some of these 6g's are treated.. frown.gif
