does anyone know how to program the factory 98 alarm clicker. I have a new one and don't want to pay the 40 dollars to the dealership to program it. I had the instructions once and it was only a pushing the buttons and the valet switch in some series and keeping the key in the ignition, and i just don't feel like i should pay 40 dollars for that crap. So if anyone could help me, thanks.

Hey you guys, it has been a while since i last posted but i need some help. I have a snapping/popping clunk sound that only when i depress the brake pedal to a certain pont. It only happens after i accelerate and then need to brake. It isnt' a question of momentum because i have down shifted from fifth to second to slow my self down rapidly and the sound doesn't occure, until i press the brakes. I would like any feed back, it sounds like it is comming from my right front tire, but it is getting worse, so i have no idea.

Hey if you want it done right and cheap, do it yourself. Just pull off the wheel take out the bottom and top bolts and change out the springs. There is a how too in the diy section of this site, that is what i would do.

You would be supprised about how easy it is, and i know most people don't try stuff themselves but it is really simple. I just helped my friend change his shocks and neither of us had any idea what we were doing, and we got it done in less than an hour. Just give it a try.

Ohh and by the way, i am not held responsible for any thing that might happen to your car, just in case wink.gif Gotta save my a$$ ya know

I say you should tweek the engine while it is in the 4th gen, see if you can get some real power/torque, and then swap it if you get something good, but i wouldn't waste my time swapping if there was no real benefit ya know.

Hey you guys, i was wondering if anyone could offer some help with my car. I am getting some light grey smoke and am wondering what to do. I already used some valvoline injector cleaner, to no avail. Should i look into continuing the cleansing or just replace my injectors, if so about how much would a set of four cost? Thanks for you help.

I know I am not too active of a member, in the sense of replying too often, however this is probably the site I visit the most on the internet, and I have read hundreds of posts. My 2 cents: In regards to the bashing comment on cars and their stock specks, I remember when I first got my celica and soon after found this site, I had a limited edition 97 st, and I was some what embarrassed to post that under my membership info, just the fact that it was an st. However after reading the site for about a month and seeing how people freely gave out this information, and were only given respect, I soon followed and posted the info, feeling confident in my car and my status on the site as a legitimate member. This was a little more than a year ago. However currently it has seemed to me like the disrespect for everyone, no matter their car or their intentions for it, is a bit too much. It reminds me of a friend of mine, who has a Camaro, and bashes on any import just because it is an import and regardless of what potential it has. It is just a complete display of ignorance, and that is that. I doubt that this helps to your decision, Coomer, or any of the other moderators for that matter, but I just figured that as a member I should give my contribution. And again, thanks for a great site that I have been always able to rely on for good information.

The site says the complete front clip, so it would be the tranny, unless they just use the 5s tranny if they can. Isnt the 3s tranny in the clip awd? Well anyway i had no idea a place like this existed in tampa, my home town!?!?!?! It is like god is tempting/hinting at me to do this swap, 4200 is better than i could have ever imagined. Coomer, if you have heard of this place give me some imput man.

It isn't only a headlight conversion, but an entire honda, with a toyota emblem on the dash, seriously, who has a celica with an interior that looks so much like a prelude along with the front end conversion? It is just a moron who knows absolutely nothing about cars trying to sell a true POS, that is it. thumbsdown.gif

I need to replace my 98 gt's clutch relatively soon (the agony of not being able to push the pedal down more than half way without the plate slipping is unbearable frown.gif ) I dont' want to put a stock set up in there, i have aspirations of a turbo sometime down the road, and i figure a strengthened disk and pressure plate would be in order now, and i have seen many on ebay, but most of hte higher preformance ones are for the 3s-gte, and i was just wondering if they would fit the 5s-fe's tranny, and what about the 4 puck and 6 puck disks as opposed to the completly round ones?? what is that about, wouldn't you get more grip if it was a complete circle, i.e. more surface area??? well if anyone can shed light on this subject i would be much abliged

now this may sound somewhat stupid, but i have owned two sixth gen celi's and the same thing has happened on both, and please don't consider me ignorant when it comes to cars either, but on both of them the jack compartment in the back is in the wall of the hatchback, now i am assuming you have a hatch back, well my jack wasn't tightened against the bracket and was loose and rattled allot, and i couldn't find it until i let the car run and listened to everything, it would be worth a check huh? Just turn the jack so it is a bit taller and it will tighten right up, and maybe it will work????

Hello everyone, here it is. I want to turbo my celi , 5s-fe and i am not wanting to spend all the money to get a turbo kit from burien so i am thinking about going to a euro car junk yard and pulling like a t3 turbo off an old saab and hooking it up to mine with the proper piping. Could our engine push the spool in this turbo, and if so, where could i get a manifold to fit this turbo, or could i just have one fabricated? Any suggestions or help would be great thanks
