I'm looking for some nicknacks!

(1) Shiftbooth for a standard

(2) The little Map Flap for the map cover in the center console

(3) Middle storage compartment lid (between the two seats, with pull out cup holder)

(4) Trunk release switch

(5) Plastic door moulding (driver side)

(6) Headrests? Just the sponge is good Both driver and passenger.

I may need more stuff as well.. please let me know either in here or by PM if you have these minor pieces and how much you would like for them!

Thanks

If I require the following:

- Headrests (driver + passenger)
- Shift-boot (for a standard)
- Centre console box flap (if it's black)

Let me know if you can arrange that?

Thanks..

Clips? I ordered the clips.. should be here in a couple days. I even got a print out of the diagram even! They are close to where cables go in.. (furthest away from the shift box - toward the front of the car)

BUT .. I'm a bit confused -- how do the clips make a difference. Should the cables still be connected and you should be able to shift still?

Just curious.. thanks!

Hey guys.. while driving my Manual 1995 Celica GT, I shifted from 2nd to third today and heard this awful "kerplnk" sound ...

As if some sort of ring flew of or something.

Anyway, I've been trying to shift and I seem to easily be able to shift into 1st, 3rd and 5th. But 2, 4 and reverse.. they barely hold and fall out.

Weird eh?

Anyone have any logic to this? Please help. I Have NO reverse gear right now, and I'm short shifting! It's painful -- I'd like to be armed with some info when I go to the mechanic..

Thanks guys!!!

Shaun!

QUOTE (Junior @ Aug 2, 2004 - 8:10 PM)
hey, where in toronto are you? I'm at DonMills and Finch. Anywayz, if its your thermostat, get a failsafe one as a replacement. If it goes, it'll stay open and your fan will be on 24/7. This way your motor won't blow.

Awesome.. I'll make sure I look into that! Thanks for the heads up!

And, I'm actually just west in Mississauga! Near Square One, but I'm always meeting clients out east for work (mostly Markham, damn Tech sector)

lol .. Where do you get parts when you need stuff? I always have a hel of a time with pricing (too high) and availability (never in stock) from Toyota directly.

I've had to be ultra resourceful..

I gasped when I saw pics of your car! Man, I'm sorry to hear!

I would to purchase some obscure parts from you if you would be as kind as to letting them go.

So your leather armrest is gone? No problem. I would like the following:

- The driver side door arm rest and plastic assembly with the cloth and all (if you had power windows). The previous owner of my car had a dog that clawwed it all up (lol)

- the plastic map box under the stereo (just the black flap is fine.. i don't really need the box as I have one.. just need the flap!)

- the driver and passenger side headrests (Ideally I would need the driver seat, but it's far to big to ship so the headrests would be great! )

- front carpets? Did you have black capet up front? If you have a driver side carpet in good shape, I would also like that if it's in black.

- if it was standard and not ripped, the leather shift booth!!! smile.gif

Please let me know how much you would like for these parts. I live in Canada and can provide you with a money order that I will express post to you with my address information.

Thank you very much for you time! And best wishes.

Shaun

ps. PLEASE PM me with your email address.

Ugh.. now think about it though. Toyota's sportscar line is now just a sportycar line consisting of:

Corolla XRS, Matrix XRS and ugh.. the Solara..

What's up with that?

My next car is definately going to be a BMW 6-series (the new one.. not the ghetto 80's version.. lol)

Thanks for the input guys! I've left the car with a mechanic (not mine, because it wasa holiday here in Canada, and I scrounged around to find someone closeby and open)

So hopefully tomorrow they'll have found out -- he said he's thinking it's the thermostat .. otherwise the actually fan itself. Who knows.

I hope it can be fixed, or I'm just getting a new car

(grrrr.. everyone has that I WANT A NEW CAR mood when something goes wrong.. lol)

So suprisingly my radiator burst! I had no clue, why, but it did. Turns out it was due to the radiator fans not spinning.

Aside from the fan motor, and fan relay..... any other reasons why it woudn't kick in?

It's frustrating, almost blew another rad!

Someone said thermostat? I have no clue how much that would cost? Is that an easy fix? Would that even relate to the fan not kicking in. I'm baffled when it comes to this part of the car. lol

Thanks,

Shaun

Hey guys, jsut a quick heads up! My radiator.. the top end of the reservoir tore while driving yesterday and I had a nice coolant leak.

I'm trying to replace it but having a tough time getting a Celica radiator.

I have a 1994 GT - 5SFE .. standard..

Would a 1994 Camry 4 cylinder MT rad fit?

I need to know... exactly.. if possible... not a speculation.. because I found one kinda at a wrekcers and it's 1/3 the price of a celica one that I'll ahve to wait 3 days to get.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Shaun

With the Celica's it's just mainteance.. or I mean wear and tear. No suprises.

My last change was an alternator. The original CV joints finally started clicking .. and the lower control arms (the bushings at least) went because I was being stupid.

But I mean I've only had to really change:
- the silence on the distributor (it shorted and kept blowing fuses)

Minor issues :
- power antenna (had to be replaced)

And then the obvious stuff (none of this counts of course)
- clutch
- struts (old)
- brakes
- timing belt (precautionary)
- waterpump (precautionary)
- bulbs / tires / whatever else .......

Aside from the obvious, there's nothing that ever had to be changed Pretty good with a 440,000 km car

BTW, I saw a Tercel with 1,000,000 miles on the Dave Letterman show!!

Scary.. the motor is pulling harder than when I first got it.. it's a bit odd.

No problems so far.. lets see how far it goes. There's a nice 3S-GTE from a 95 GT-Four with ECU and Harness at a Jap engine place near by.... hehe

$3000 canadian:)
