From what I heard there is still no bolt on header for the 7afe. Is there a point to port and polish the stock header? Has anyone tried it and did you notice a difference? I get the feeling the only difference I'll notice it the sound. |

Just try it Snadman, take one for the team. At last we'll have real proof if this stuff works. I'll tell you, if it does work, im going to get one right away, just because it's so easy to install and I can move it from my Celica to my Grand Am when ever I want. That kind of flexiblity is well worth $650 for a twin e-turbo (a claimed 4 psi). BEsides, when I race im going to want to listen to the e-turbo and not my stereo so I dont mind turning my stereo and my indiglo gauges off. Another thing I like about it is that you can install a on and off switch to the e-turbo witch is pretty cool too. The only thing im not to sure about is the durability. Does anyone know physics in here so that they can compare what the maker of the e-turbo said and what that other dude said in the celica.net forums. One of these guys has to be wrong. Although im sure that the parts for the e-turbo that the guy on the celica.net forum were different from the parts that are in speed freakz e-turbo. |

yeah that's probably true, but im not buying one. Why dont just read what the forums say. The people who were against it really started making up sh!t(like he made up the dyno graphs and that he paid people off) because the owner of the e-turbo just had to much evidence that it works. Really, read the whole thing. Maybe it will change your mind, but I really dont care. I wasnt a believer either but the evidence and the knowledge that the owner provides is just saomthing you cannot argue against. |

This is obviously not for the anti-electric turbo people, but if you do want an electric turbo or are not sure what to think about it. Check out these websites. Sounds like these turbos really work, but I dont know about the durability. Sorry if these websites have been posted already. http://home.earthlink.net/~mfirehawkta/index.html http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t160942.html (the actual guy who created the e-turbo explains in simple english and in physics how this works) |

Sup all, I was just wondering approximately what an ST would run in the 1/4 mile with a 4A-GZE automatic, with an exhaust, header, and CAI? This would be the late model 4A-GZE engine with 165hp. Anybody with an estimate? Peace |

For $300 !!!!. What's the number or email address? I want one too!!. Maybe they'll have a manual tranny that will fit on my ST. I would replace the clutch plate and the flywheel for parts that support more power and install it myself. Unless there is other work to be done. I think these transmissions will last a long time as long as they are not abused. You said that they test them so it probably still is in good condition. I've seen celicas that have way more than 200,000 miles on the original tranny and it still works good. You should probably wait for someone else with more experience with this car to answer your question though. Just my 2 cents. What other work will need to be done if you are replacing your auto tranny with a manual tranny? Will this cost less than converting you auto tranny to a manual tranny? |

Is there somebody on this site that has done this converstion? This is something I will also try if it's not to expensive and if it's not going to make my tranny weaker. Anybody know where we can find a parts list for this conversion? |

Huh, I dont have a torch to make another o2 sensor hole. About how wide is the hole that you needed to make. I can probably drill another hole since I have some pretty big drill bids. I have a weld michine so I'll probably weld my o2 sensor also. Do all Corollas only have only one o2 sensor? Also you said "BE ADVISED: YOU MAY NEED TO BORE THE HOLES IN ORDER FOR THE HEADER TO SLIDE INTO PLACE", what holes are you talking about? Do you have a picture? Thanks for your help and you how-to article is great. Thanks and Peace |

Did the HP header bolt on directly to your stock exhaust system? Did it fit perfectly on to your engine? |

I just found a website that sells the OBX headers for 93-97 Toyota Corolla 1.8L. Only for $189.95. There is a possibility that the part has been discontinued. Here's the website: http://www.ssautochrome.com/_estore/parser...dex=20&icQuery= Which would you guys prefer? the Powertech or the OBX headers? |

Sup everybody, I was surfing for some headers for the ST and I found some headers from PowerTech. They have 4-2-1 headers for the 93-97 Toyota Corolla 1.8L. They only go for $175. That's some pretty damn good pricing. Has anybody ever heard of PowerTech? Do you guys think this will work on the ST? I want to know what you guys think before I go buying these headers. If they dont fit on the ST I will loss a lot of cash. Here's the link: http://www.speedstash.com/headers.html |

Thanks for schooling me guys. I just dont want to sound completely ignorant when I call them. I'll be calling some places and see if I can find somebody that is willing to do this for us (even though VPHMC has already tried this approach). If I do find someone I'll let you guys know right away and I'll definately try other forums to see if anybody at other forums is down to go into a group buy. If there is anything else that I should know please let me know. I think the more knowledged I sound the more chance we have of getting a company to make these for us. If you guys know of a company that is willing to do this then give them a call or leave the info on this post so I could call them. By the way, I have read on other websites that headers improve horse power all throughout the power band, but maybe im wrong. I'll see if I can find a sure answer. Once again thanks for the info. PEACE! |

Thanks for all that info guys. Coomer, what do you mean by headers being 4-1 or 4-2-1? Im pretty sure it has to do with the way the tubes are set up, but im not sure. Are there other combinations? |

Is there a company that is willing to make some headers for the Celica ST if we do a group buy? Does anybody know of such a company? If there is a company wiling to give us a good price for headers for the Celica ST then how many people would put their money on them. Im not even sure how many people on this website have ST's but I would think it be more than 30 people. I dont even know who to contact to ask them if they would make us some headers. I just though I would throw this idea out to see what you guys think and to see what happens. I know I can use the Corolla headers but those look like they suck, and I just want something that is actually made to fit on my car. PEACE!! |

I was looking through the OBX website and I saw an intake system they call "OBX HIGH PERFORMANCE COLD AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS" and I also saw that they make them for the Corolla 1.8L? Has anybody bought one of these. Will they fit in a 94 Celica ST? Looks like some good quality stuff. I also saw the headers but I cant find any vendors for these products online. Anybody have any links for OBX products? THanks and Peace!! |

The reason I want an RS2.5 is because there's not to many of those on the streets and most people know that they dont come turbo charged so it's kinda going to be a sleeper or something. Also I like the 2.5 engine also. I think the STI has the same engine(not sure) so I hope to be able to get some STI pats for my engine. My first goals for this car will be to get it into the high to mid 14's without turbo. That means I will need a new flywheel, clutch, pulley, headers, CAI, CAMS(Cobb tuning) and maybe the head cyclinder (Cobb tuning). That's what I cn think of off the top of my head. The RS 2.5 does a 15.2 to 15.7 in the 1/4 mile stock so I wouldnt be surprised if all those mods get me into the low 14's. Ahhhh Im am sooo jealous. I wanted an Evo but like you said that markup is a little steep for my wallet. The MSRP price is still to high for me. Maybe after im done playing with the impreza jump towards a new Evo but that's about a year from now. All I can say is that your going to have the time of your life driving that car. What kind of fuel delivery upgrades do I have to do to add a nitrous kit? Will it cost much? Thanks to all of you for your Help!! PEACE!! |

Sup Nate, Im in Ventura County in So Cali. Thanks, 97sccelica. I was actually looking at the nitrous kit they have for this car and it looks tempting. I guess im not going to have the fastest automatic ST on this site since I dont really want to spend thousands more on the turbo especiall if it has to be a custom made turbo kit. I guess I'll just have to do with CAI, Exhaust, Headers, Reprogrammed ECU and some good ol nitrous. I hope that that will at least put me in low 15 or high 14 in the quarter mile. I would definitely add a turbo but do you think the transmission would be able to handle all that extra power, also including all the other mod's except the nitrous? I also cannot add a turbo because im going to me a 99-01 Subaru Impreza RS 2.5 and turbo the hell out of that car so im kinda trying to save some money. But you never know. |

Thanks a lot guys. I would definately get new flywheel and clutch but it's an automatic. This car will be driven mainly by my girlfriend that's why I bought an automatic but I have to add some performance to every car I buy to see how fast it can go. I'll definitely search for the headers on ebay if I could get them for $150. The car feels really slow but im going to try and make it the one of the fastest automatic ST's on this site ; ). Are the engine internals and transmission really weak? The reason I ask is because I do not want to add all these mod's and then have to worry about my tranny messing up or I dont want to blow a cylinder or something, even though im not going to add a turbo or supercharger. I would go for the engine swap but I dont want to go through all that and spend a lot of cash, besides I have to keep it an automatic for my girl. By the way, Who has the fastest Celica ST on this site? Just curious. PEACE!! |

Hi Everybody, I just purchased a used 94 Celica ST Hatchback with 86,000 for $5,000(I also have a 99 Pontaic Grand Am V6). I have read throughout the website and I noticed that there arent to many parts for my engine, but the parts that I did see had no links to websites that provide these parts. I already have the Dolecek Dr.CAI, and Jet reprogrammed chip(after mods) on my "Need to Buy List", but I also want to get an exhaust system and headers. What exhaust system will give me the most power gains and that is also legal in California? I dont really care about the sound but the deeper the better. I think the Dolecek exhaust system is not legal in California. I know that Greddy makes an exhaust system for the GT but will that fit on an ST also? I also want to purchase some heads but all the posts I've read have no links and no pricing. Can someone give me link where I can find some headers for my ride? Sorry for all the questions, but Thanks!. PEACE. |
