If you have sufficient money then you'll have a way to satisfy your lust tongue.gif , ghost dog couldn't have said it better. With all those n/a mods you could also use an e-manage and tune your car on a dyno....i'm sure you'll be more than happy from the results. I've seen several integra type-r get a good amount of horsepower....especially one which showed 190whp that's 228bhp....no internals....go figure smile.gif

Why do you want to put 20's? That's way too much for a celica...even if you think it will look good it just sounds silly. In my honest opinion i think 17's are enough. Not because i have 17's but because i care about performance. Otherwise if you're not into performance as much and are going for looks then go ahead. Even so i believe 18's are the max on our cars...i'm sure they'll look awesome.

No one mentioned anything negative about the ACT clutch, some people experience noise which they say is common on their cars, i have a friend who owns a civic type-r and has ACT installed and makes noise when releasing the clutch after engagin first gear. And as a matter of fact the clutch bites so hard when i upshift from 1st to 2nd the car jumps like a maniac. Don't want to brag or anything, just making a point that i've had my ACT for about 3 months and i am perfectly happy. Anyway not meaning to lash out or anything but a lot of things are explained in this article, you might find it helpful since loads of positive points are pointed out and explained about the ACT Clutch. Enjoy.

I believe you might be talking about a Wings West Project? If not then my bad...but anyhow here's the blue RSX you might be talking about...check it out, so if it's that one just drop 'em an e-mail or something. Oh and also check out the Civic from the project cars archive. Enjoy

Yes the sound is normal, i have an ACT installed on my celica, don't worry about it, just don't push it too hard....drive normally for a couple of hundred miles. The clutch in the beginning makes much more noise...it will settle though and the sound won't be as loud after a while. Good buy man, enjoy the cluth wink.gif

You're not alone in the world man. My mum takes my car for a spin once a week whenever i'm away...sadly enough far away in London...*sniff*. But none the less she takes good care of it, gives it a nice wash every week...and covers her to keep her away from dust biggrin.gif of course she has direct orders to do all that. Last month she even got some kids staring at my ride at the traffic lights probably wondering what the hell is a grown up woman doing with an SS3. Cheer up buddy at least you're close to your babe... wink.gif

Maikl i'm sure you would have owned him if he hadn't gone in to all that trouble taking out stuff just to save weight and also them semi-slicks, which gave him a serious advantage at take off. Anyway it's all good feel happy that you came really close and went into the race as you drive your car everyday smile.gif . Maikl one more thing did you further tune the e-manage to gain more hp while ur car was getting dynoed? How many runs did you do?

Maikl congrats, even if you lost that doesn't mean anything, at least you came close. Hondas have an advantage over us really, weight difference and the fact that they have loads of options to modify their cars. I'm sure he had more in there than just toda cam gears, no one will ever say the truth about what they have under the hood. And as you said he came with semi-slicks...i bet he was really scared...he took you and your car very seriously....Respect to the Celica and respect to maikl for beeing happy and keeping his head up smile.gif. I'm sure you would have walked all over him if he didn't have those slicks. Anyway it was just a race and i'm sure everyone had fun. biggrin.gif

Dunno i'm just guessing but even if you're even in terms of power it will all go down to you making a good start , due to the weight difference of course. I highly doubt he'll be able to catch you if he messes up the start. Don't race him again if he loses and starts making excuses...."i missed 3rd gear" or "i put 2nd gear instead of fourth" (unless it's really obvious of course) that has happened so many times and it's bull. But anyway try to play it safe, and even if you lose it's just a race. I'm sure it's gonna be tight and everyone will respect ur Celica in the end, whatever the outcome. Best of luck if it goes as scheduled. smile.gif

Neoklis i don't think he'll want to race with a GT4, he'll definitely lose, and he'll lose badly, but if he's up to the challenge...then hey why not biggrin.gif

Well i was just expressing my opinion no hard feelings i hope smile.gif. Anyway the figures shown by your celica on the dyno are really impressive and i suspect that's mainly from the greddy e-manage...imagine what you could do with custom internals. Anyway sure man we can meet up, i'll be coming back home on the 18th of December. Are you in Nicosia btw?

Nice job there maikl. Well concerning hondas catching up, there are loads of hondas out there with true potentials in CY and far more than most of our Celicas, sometimes out of bhp or just because they weigh so little you're scared if it's gonna even survive a 10mph crash. Comparing a Celica to a Honda is a sin, a Celica is far too good to even be compared to a Honda. Celica will always be a lot more a car than any other jap cars will ever be IMHO. Not meaning to diss or anything, respect from getting a celi run that high on a dyno even if it's got that sweet Beams engine but the thing is not to compare yourself to others, it's just a matter of feeling good about yourself and your car. Think about it, going into "Turbo Mode" you're entering a whole new competition, far more competitive i would say. It's Hell in turboland tongue.gif

Does anyone know if the Altezza Beams Dual VVTi internals are identical to the Celica Beams VVTi?

Thnx man, i know there's enough things for turbocharching, enough to make it a beast tongue.gif, the thing is i was searching for high compression pistons, camshafts etc, for N/A. I kinda have a thing for atmospheric power. If there's no hope at all then Turbo it is without second thoughts. Dunno if they can custom build me high compression pistons suitable for stage 2 camshafts.

Oh one more thing, what's the difference between the beams vvti of the celica and the beams dual vvti of the altezza? does it have to do anything with the camshafts? I'm asking cuz i was wondering if any Aftermarket parts could be used from the dual vvti engine on mine, although i doubt it frown.gif

He claims it's the beams engine he has on, but the way he drove off the traffic lights looked like he had only 160bhp, i called him up and he doesn't want to race cuz i sounded very confident i would win. If he really has the 3s-ge he might smoke me, but i highly doubt it cuz he can't drive for ****...

I was cruising last night with some friends and this MR2 pulls next to me at the traffic lights. He floors the gas but i hear no blow off valve so i say cool ok i might have a chance here. I floor it later on but he doesn't follow. He then stops next to my friends car which btw he knew and told him this Celica guy thinks he can beat me. My friend told me what the MR2 guy said and i'm pissed off so i found his phone number and if i have a chance i'm calling him. I believe i can smoke this guy since it's the 2.0 litre with no Turbo (I saw him floor it...wasn't impressed)
