I have had my celica for about 2 years now, but the original owner told me it hasn't had an engine swap or anything. I am wanting to see what people have reached in total number of miles on their engine.

Mine is currently at 317,310 miles on the original engine.

How much do you think will be needed to mold a new center console or add to one?

yes, that is true DmVinny, but on website I've created, I have enabled HTML code into messages, but I had to add those lines into it to allow my users to be able to post, but not screw up my site.

I think that audi setup is cool, but we are going to be totally changing the look of the center console, you wont even be able to tell, that you are looking at a celica center console. I'll probably draw a picture of what I'm talking about, and post it.

I dont know about everyone else, but I like to use HTML tags. I use them on a daily basis.

Why not enable that here?

On the forums? Because a simple </div> tag would cause major troubles, as could <script> tags, and many other tags could cause problems as well. wink.gif

I'm not totally sure about PHP since I'm just starting to work with it intensively, but I know in ASP that you can use the replace() feature, so that when someone posts something, before it goes into the database, it will replace the current word, or letters to blank. Below is what the code would look like if it was in asp, I'll try to code it in php for you so you could use it.

lets first say that I was to type into one of these post:

<div>blah blah</div>

or

<script> document.write 'hello'; </script>

then I would tell the script when it processes whats in the text box, to do this

replace(request("message"), "<div>", "")
replace(request("message"), "</div>", "")

or

replace(request("message"), "<script>", "")
replace(request("message"), "</script>", "")

and that would keep it from allowing what you put into the message.

Hopefully this helps, and I can get you the code in PHP.

Hey Coomer, if you need to switch ever to another server, I'm running a server with PHP. Let me know what you need to keep the website up and going and I could quote you a price, and I would be less than $25 a month.

I will, but we will probably test it on his brother civic first, so that we don't have to mess up anything in his celica. After we get down, then we'll do the celica.

Anyone know where to buy fiberglass kits to be able to mold your own?

I though about fiberglass after I left the message, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a fiberglass kit to be able to mold my own?

A friend of mine and I are working on his celica and we are wondering if anyone knows how to mod, or create a custom center console. We are trying to fit a 7 inch lcd screen into, cause we are working on a car computer. We want to make it look like it came standard. I was told by someone to use like styrofoam to make the mold of the console, then use bondo to make the actual mold from the styrofoam. does that sound right?

Any help would be great.

Well you could always just put the video clip up on a free web host server, and then just link to it on members rides area, so that there is a link to the video. That or you specify a link, and have it go to an embedded video window, thats always possible.

Alright, well let me put it this way. Any 6th Generation Celica will work. As long as its GT and a Hatchback. I have an older Celica GT and I have a friend who has an ST, and there are a few things that I like better, that I've seen in the GT's, couldn't tell you what, but I like the GT's better.

Well, I guess I don't need a 95 but I'm looking for something 95 or newer. I really don't care how many miles it has on it, I'm just basically looking for a rebuilder car. I said 95 because I have someone that can get me some cheap prices on parts for anything newer than 95.

I'm looking to get a 1995 Toyota Celica GT Hatchback 5 Speed Manual. I'm not looking for it in perfect condition, because I want the car to be a project car. If you live in CA that would also be great. If anyone would like to give me some offers, that would be great also. Thanks.
