Well, I bought an Xterra over the summer and I'd have to say that I am very pleased. It is so much more practical than the was celica for me at this point. You get so much more cargo and passenger space, plus you get 4WD and I'm sure the X-runner would be better in an accident.

The only cons I could see for you were the same ones I looked at. Lower gas mileage, higher insurance, and car payments for the next 5 years.

Another thing to take into account would be the fact that insurance is usually a little higher for convertibles. Personally, I would rather have a hardtop, I've had a couple friends with jeeps complain about tops leaking, but I'm not sure about Celica's. just some ideas to consider.

I'm an engineering major as well, but I think if you don't really enjoy what you are doing then you should try something else. I think thats part of college, I was torn between engineering and business and I decided I'd rather be out messing around with things and interacting with more than just a computer and a cubicle. I'd say go for what you're interested in. I mean, if you have a passion for art and such, it would be great to make a career out of doing something you love.

If it was me I'd probably do the Eli for Rudi trade straight up. Eli has been solid this year and you have a pretty good set of backs. Larry Johnson is a tremendous player but just doesn't get the reps with Priest Holmes. Rudi Johnson hasn't been putting up the best numbers so far, since the passing game is dominating. Hes getting lots of carries but no touchdowns. Eli can only get better and Greise isn't having the best year, so you might want to solidfy your QBs, IMO

I was in an all guys dorm and our RA would co-operate with other all female dorm RA's and try to set up things that would get us meeting people other than on the floor. We also did a couple hookah bar trips where it was cool to hang out and bond. I think a great idea would be to try to integrate something with another RA from another building, so that you'll help everyone meet new people more easily than just throwing them out there.

Other things we've done, poker tournaments, dinner, ultimate frisbee, soccer, and going to other athletic events. Hope this helps

I'm kind of thinking the same way, I think its a good idea, just not sure if its practical. I also wondered about the ground clearance, but apparently no one has any prior knowledge of it.

Make your own, the only thing different than making it yourself will be that these peices are precut for you and comes with everything you need. It might take you a little more work and effort, but it will save you 100 bucks in the end

yeah the only bad thing about those trucks is they get 10-15 mpg and they cost 10,000 more dollars. Its not like I'm driving a CRV. The Xterra does 0-60 in 7.7 seconds, and 16.2 quarter mile. Not bad for an SUV with 9.5 inches of ground clearance that weighs 4500 pounds.

I know I haven't really posted much here, but I'm moving on to a bigger vehicle with 4WD and some more room to haul stuff around. Here's some pics. I wanted to stick with Toyota and get a 4Runner, but they were just too expensive.
