I think the best tail conversion I've seen on our car is the S2000 tails. I'll see if I can dig up the pic. But yeah not sure if I dig what they have oing on but I'll give 'em some points for the effort put in. As long as they like it.

if your cv boots are fine then I hate to say that it's probably your wheel bearing. I had to change mine on my 90 celi it wasn't too bad but i had access to a bearing press which helped out immensely. I have no idea how much it would cost for a shop to replace one considering you have to take the whole wheel hub off to replace it. Good luck.

the red stuff is supposed to be better at lower temps, that's why I use it, but I doubt you have to worry about temps reaching -50F like I do.

um yeah... rev limiter no clue..

otherwise it sounds as if your cv joint is gone. when mine went I just replaced the whole axle on the passengers side it was like $70 after core return. The only other thing I can think of could be your wheel bearing which are a real pain in the booty to change yourself cause they're pressed in. Anywho welcome and good luck.

I was reading in a post earlier on the pros and cons of turbo or s/c'd engines and there was this small bit about how the turbo increases power when your engine is working harder, that I understand, more fuel burned more combustion gases more energy to spin the turbo. My question is if you have a turbo and run the air conditioner thereby increasing engine load at idle would it increase power upon launch. I'm assuming that the power is increased more than linearly with the amount that the engine is working.

Prolly a dumb question but that's what happens to a mind during a 12 hour shift at work without any other mental stimulation... biggrin.gif

an airbag only increases your chance of survival in a collision 5-10% over just using your seatbelt. How much is that worth is completely up to you.

Oh and aren't the airbags like $500?

I was wondering about those 550cc injectors. If you run to big of an injector could you run into a problem with fuel atomization, if you have to "turn down" the fuel output with a management system? Or would it just open for a shorter duration when filling the cylinder?

stinger makes a high output alt. for the 5s, don't know the amperage. It's pretty though if your putting it in a show car, chrome plated and all that. It's like $200 though. Don't know of any that make them for a 7a.

QUOTE (turboinduction @ Aug 7, 2004 - 6:57 AM)
Keep in mind - the 8th gen is no longer being made in the UNITED STATES. Japan however is a different story. Heres one prototype picture.

I know this because my friend who washes cars at a dealership told me

this looks alot like that new scion Sc that i keep seing commercials for...if they kill the celi name here in the U.S. they may just rebadge it as a scion. Not like they haven't done it before IS300/Altezza.

mines mounted to the air duct below the steering column works pretty good for me and my neighbor has straight pipes on his big a** chevy that doesn't set it off but a light thump on the glass will.

i had an idea about the integrating the faq/database section...would it be possible to have in each sub furum ie. engine performance, suspension etc..the faq section with those available parts then instead of another section inside that to post comments have a link that automatically searches the forum topics for threads on that part. That way you can find the part you want and then get the feedback from the regular posts from those who have it.

not a perfect idea but an idea none the less...

the turn signals would look good at the bottom corners where those indentations are

how about a cross member running horizontally across the whole peice that might make it more structurally sound.

just imagine the size of intercooler you could shove up in there, that front looks like it sticks out alot further than stock.
