hey guys...long time no speak, well i saw a 94 gt on ebay buy now at 1200 and as i was hitting buy now someone else nabbed it...dang it. but im looking for something similar, any year celica st or gt that is a decent rolling chassis w/o much body damage. if it has a running motor thats a plus. i have big ideas in mind and after a year without the celica i think its time for a new one to keep my 4runner company. thanks guys. im in jersey so im looking for something somewhat local within a couple hours drive, northeast maybe down to tn and nc sc |

I have a good friend that works for toyota. The TC is the toyota celica...basically when toyota decided to start the scion line with younger market target they decided to discontinue the celica a couple years thereafter when they were coming up with the idea for the tc. If you look at the toyota line up now there are no real sports or sporty cars in the us market(jdm market yes but thats lexus here). The TC stands for Toyota Celica. If you look very closely to the tc and the 7th gen celica side by side you will actually notice some very close styling cues and likenesses. I've driven the tc and love it. it reminds me alot of my celica. Before i lost my celica i was thinking about doing the silver or blacktop swap and was going to do it because it was more practicle for me and i do all my own work, but thinkin back on it now going with the tc or another new car would have been my better bet since u will most likely get more time and reliablity out of a newer car( and gas milage most likely). good luck with your decision and hopefully this might make ya feel a bit better knowing ur not really betraying the celica. |

not every car in the world has coilovers, most do now adays, the true aftermarket term for what many commonly call a coilover is an "adjustible coilover" such as the tein adj. coilovers etc. many vehicles like trucks and older cars have the solid axel with the spring going up to one mount point and one or more shocks going up to seperate mount points outside of the spring. |

heres a quick update...insurance comp is being gay and they already scammed me, they told me i had to give them a deposition on what happened, well when i was down there they were like "we're giving you 2000 for your inconvienince and pain and suffering etc." and me being only 20 next week was like ok. they never informed me that i had the option of declining that and since they didn't say that they were offering me xxxx i didn't know what options i had. so i only got for 2400 for pain suffering and loss of wages. now they are trying to lowball the celica. they started at 2800. now as of friday they were up to 4250. the retail value of my car on kbb is 5760. and i found 3 in my area almost idencital minus kit and intake etc for 6k,6k, and 7k. and still they say 4250 is their final offer. i gave them an estimate of aproximate man hours i have in body work/engine work on the car, i gave them printouts on how much the kit is, how much the wing is, the yokahama tires i had and a bunch of other stuff. so we should find out how much their going to offer soon. my pop's has been with nationwide since 1978 for home and car insurance so if they dont give at least 55 or 6 then they'll be loosing bout 4k a year, pennies to them but still. hopefullly that'll mater enough to them. |

![]() i put em on either side of the liscense plate and attached them to the reinforcement bar. it all depends on where u like them...the wiring isn't to hard...one thing though..i know in va the fogs have to be linked into the head lights so they can't be on unless the headlights/lowbeams are on. it has to appear factory. so i went to autozone and got a bridge and just ran it through that that circuit. |

well i was slamming on the breaks from 30 mph so i was prob going bout 10 and she was going at least 40 b4 she hit me if she even breaked. but i just got a call from the pollice and they have formally charged her with wreckless driving ....good thing is she has nationwide so it should expidite this whole proces since thats the same i have and the way nationwide is set up it is replacement value of the car not bluebook value....so i get enough to replace my car exactly the way it was -kit & wing. and lookin on autotrader thats bout 5k doing a search across the us bout the air bags i replaced obviously the drivers and passenger air bags, the 2 front air bag sensors, the clock spring behind the steering wheel, and the central control unit under the arm rest. and i have no clue what our crash ratings are but all i know it the celica saved my life the other day. if i had been in a civic or eclipse i would be dead right now.... the paramedics didn't see how i could walk away from that accident...they jsut put me on the streacher and back board for good measure just to make sure i didn't have any unknown injuries. i've arlready talked bout workmans compensastion to the insurance b/c my hand in cut up so i can't serve tables which is my only income right now. and i make bout 15 an hour doing that workin 40 a week so....but im heading over to the yard right now to get some stuff and i'll take some more pictures for you guyz... |

thanks everyone..yeah im doing ok now...the biggest injury was the stiches i had to get on my hand for a lacerated artery and a missing chunk of skin where my hand hit the windshield. other than that just bruising on my shoulder from the seatbelt and on my knees from the dashboard. i was wearing my seatbelt and thank god i installed the airbags correctly after the last time the car was totalled but i dont htink im recovoring it this time. immedialty after the wreck i couldnt get the door open so i crawled out the window and just layed onteh asphault...and get this ...this curve is only .3 miles away from my front door. but i dont think im gonna get another celica right now....i love that car. it was my babe but i think for the time being im going to stay in the toyota family and move up to a 4runner so i can actually use it for more things. but thanks everyone for your suport oh yeah and did i mention that same woman has ran me off the road several times before in the same turn and even on wednesday ran my sister off the road. hell she even ran my mom off the raod and mom drives a miata....how can u not make room for a miata...i have no clue what her prob is with being on the wrong side of the road inthat turn...one of my good friends who knows her said he thinks she was actually baiting trying to cause an accident and make it look like the other person's fault....to get the insurance settlements....the bad thing is she picked the wrong person to try that with. |

hah...wow that estimate is a lil reduculus i think...when i wrecked mine a couple years back i had something similar happen well it blew 3 of the 4 lights no hood damage and the bumper looked fine..well when i got home and took the bumper off.....the reinforcement bar had been crushed in and pushed into the ac condenser, the bar mounts that go in the frame were pulled inward and a couple other braces were bent up....i fixed it all myself including replacing the airbags and sensors. ended up costing me with buying a full kit $3000. i didn't have colision insurance on my car, i only had liablity so i couldn't even total the car so i had to fix it. im glad i did....i've put bout 40k miles on it since the accident and no problems at all. good luck with whatever you decide to do |
