I have a superstrut SS-II
My question is are the rear shocks the same as the McPherson strut.

The kit was imported from japan. The make off the kit is unclear to me, as i bought it on ebay.
The kit origanaly came from a group buy Of the UK's Celica Club. All i could find for the make was Erebuni or z-Glide. (404)
Will try to contact seller for the member that imported it. wink.gif

QUOTE (markjbutler @ Sep 2, 2008 - 8:03 PM) *
Hi all,

I have just started a little project that i have been meaning to get on with pretty much since i got the car about a year ago and that is a neat and tidy boot install. I am going to build a box to house my 12" sub and also a pair of 6X9's at a later date. It will fit between the two suspension towers and be pretty much flush with them (I say pretty much, the plastic surround in the boot is more than vertical and i want to at least have a small angle less than square) and will be the full height of the back seats, replacing the parcel shelf. I will also add a hinged section on the back so as the parcel shelf is still usable.

I have found a port calculator online which will tell me the required length of port based on the frequency i want to tune to but i also notice in its output data that it gives a volume for the port which leads me onto the more indepth question - can i simply use the port volume and build it angled so that it is shorter but still seperates the same amount of air as the uniform port of the length given by the port calculator? Hope you can follow that!!

Anyway, my last question... this is easy after the other two! Does anyone know the angle between the boot floor and the back of the seats?

Thanks for reading if you still are - i will draw diagrams if people cant follow my descriptions.
Cheers

You must be some kinda serious bass head to do this sort of reserch. What you after the valve sound system in your car. NUTS biggrin.gif
Feel the bass, feels like you chest is goung to explode. I know first hand.

Hatchbacks can take their rear speaker grille out? WHAT THE FCUK!! OMG i wish i could do that frown.gif I've got like the crappyest car of all of you... This blows...

[/rant]

Oh BTW how does it sound?

The sound is good biggrin.gif clear crisp. I listen to drum&bass, hardcore so higher tweets in the rear are plus for me.
I like tuneage rather then lyric. But saying that i run a EQ so i can adjust the sound very easly for any music.

congrats on the III man, i love mine, but you have a real BLMZF, mine is a BLP(M)ZF. P is for auto, M is for manual.

This is really strange, I have the same car with Super-strut, LSD, 2 pot front brakes even the clutch is different as i found out to my expence.
Also the car has close ratio gearbox.
So why is my code BLMVF.

Did you check the boot aswell. Or there is a switch on the interior light unit so it stays on all the time.

Nice smile.gif Looked in your profile you got super strut. have you got the whole tein setup or just springs.
Also make sure you look at the fig 8 links they give up after 120k.
The super strut celicas also have higher comprssion engine, LSD. The clutch is diffrent aswell as i found to my expence frown.gif

I have looked at the manual suppled with speaker which are Infinity:KAPPA 65.7cs. no joy on the sound stage, Looked on web site to, So i presume that they may be the same setup as the fockfords which on there site says to put the tweeters no more then 2" apart from the woofer. I have the woofer in the stock rear location so i dont have much space to play with. 2" is not far. Sorry just looked again no more then 2" or over 7". So i will look at putting them on the door piller, but theres not a lot room behind there the tweeters are quite big.
