I recently picked up a 04 silver wrx, But I kept my celica as well. I can't make much of a comparison since I haven't driven the celica in over a year, But from what I remember the smoothness of the wrx makes it a more enjoyable car. But my celica was lowered on ebay coilovers with koni yellow struts, full decatted exhaust, and mostly gutted interior. Both are fun cars in their own little niches though. I would still choose the celica over the wrx for auto-x.

I had to cut front and rears to fit my koni's in. But i used a cutter and took the top of the casing off about 2 inches down, Just below the nut. If you cut the casings you have to weld the struts in from that point though.

Honestly, If your getting tattoo's for sex appeal you're getting them for the wrong reasons. I am heavily tattooed, From the neck down, But my 1 inch lobes get more reactions than any of my tattoos.

It'll be done eventually. I personally would atleast have the motor in the car by now if i still had a full garage, Fabrication is not a problem, it's the wiring that will slow me down.

I am also looking at other swaps that the 1m will open up, Consider the 2a*i believe* from the tc shouldn't be a issue and has nice aftermarket support.

The pricing thing was directed toward the original poster, Just so ya know. If your doing this swap yourself you can come out a little cheaper, Hopefully atleast.

www.mr2oc.com in the stickys for the v6 forums. If you can wait a few i can post them here.

One of the guys i was referring to posted numbers here, http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=22776 i can't find any of the other specifc cars right now, But will later.

His set up as stated in the thread. Notice the first is through a auto.

"99 Solara v6 auto
s/c at 12.5 psi, 75 shot, all the bolt ons
320hp 320tq at the wheels

00 camry v6 5 speed
s/c at 7psi, some bolt ons
274hp 282tq to the wheels

97 camry v6 auto
s/c at 7psi, some bolt ons
233hp 236tq to the wheels"

Just so you know, When all is said and done, You'll have just as much invested in a 1m swap as you would a 3s. I paid 1300 for my 99 1m in august of 04, By the time you include the already mention custom mount, wiring, and labor if your not doing it yourself, you'll be in the same ball park as a 3s swap.

I will agree however it is a echo motor, But quite a few have made upwards of 320+hp on boost with tunning. There are even a few camrys with 400+ hp, with only internal mods being pistons, I don't see needing more than that on a fwd.

If you have a Gt, Stick with the 3sgte. You'd spend as much putting a 4a in a gt as you would a 3s, But have the ability to make more power with a 3s.

Obiviously shogunkid, You don't all of what your against. Being a hunter and a conservationlist, The national wild life federation thrives off the sale of Hunting/fishing tags and licenses. With the sell of these permits, tags, and licenses they get the needed funding for research, restocking of wild life, Diease treatments/tracking and Habbitat control and maintaning.

Being from eastern kentucky, Two of those key things are habitat control, maintaining and reintroduction of wildlife. From 1988 to 1998 the sale of hunting permits Alone provided enough money for reintroduction of several species of wild life that were at one time common here. Now I know your going to say they get funding form tax dollars etc etc, And they do but surprisenly not enough, Because with buying out land for reserves and relocation *in this point i'll use elk* one single animal on average cost 12-15000 dollars in 6 months for up keep. That is a lot of money when you average in the fact they brought in 200 elk in a two year span. An animal that would have been native to here, If the boom of the coal civilizations in the late 1800-early 1900's had not driven them to the brink of extintson(SP).

Now Once they are here what you do with a herd of 500 breeding elk, Now i don't know if you've ever seen a elk but a full grown male is around 1000 pounds and can be over 5 feet tall at the shoulder. They honestly cause a lot of destruction to land, And if they ever got into a farmers crops nothing would be left after one night. SO this is where population control comes in, They need to be regulated so that we don't have 100's of thousands roaming around, Hitting a deer with you car is one thing, but hitting a elk would be like hitting another car. Also it's a known fact that diease in these animals runs rampant, If one gets something *lime diease was a huge killer in our location deer population a few years ago* within a couple months it spreads throughout the herds and they die horrible deaths.
Me being a hunter and a conservationlist, I'd rather you know that not every hunter out there hunts for pure sport. Yes i do find enjoyment out of being in the woods, I usually spend 4-5 months out of the year scouting, tracking, and looking for deer *the only animal i hunt btw* for a weeks worth of hunting in the fall. I don't trophy hunt, although i do take older deers and usually they have larger antlers. This will be my 19th year hunting *i'm only 25 btw* and i've only killed 2 deers in those 19 years. Every hunter i know carries the same beliefs that i do, Although I know there are man who don't, But i honestly believe they'll be the ones who ruin it for the ones who actually care about all the things that go into hunting.
If more people would educate themselves on boths sides of the agurement we wouldn't have 99% of the bull**** that goes on in country/world.

Btw peta seriously needs a wake up call, Of all the peta members i've met their nothing more than psychopaths without the ability to clearly think on their motives.

From dealing with them twice, that's part of what makes them good. Both times they have pretty much gotten me exactly what i wanted, I had to wait, but got great parts. And they were good with giving me updates, and were quick on getting the parts to me.
