I had a st202 with superstrut suspension, lowered it with toyo springs (40mm). You can replace the springs (but is not advisable), but you cant just replace the shocks. I believe that TRD has a nice kit for the celica's with superstrut suspension. Tein only had kits for celica's without superstrut (at least around here).

PS, the superstrut suspension (together with LSD) was a option around here, so if you have a st202 it doesnt mean you got superstrut suspension.

QUOTE(spewie @ Mar 8, 2005 - 3:46 PM)

thanks for the kind words man

just get a gt4 as well, you can import them from italy really easy. around 15000 euro's to get one. after that, just get it modified at supras.nl, arnout has the experience now from mine. Another guy with a black one just came here today as well, probably will get his mods at supras.nl as well.

Ah i see, did you buy yours at autobedrijf Moree ? I know that they import GT Fours from Italy. Or did you import it yourself ?

15.000 isnt that much actually, is that including the importing (BPM + License)?Perhaps i will look for a Gt4 as well when the time comes.

Hey man mooie bak hoor.

For you guys that are affraid to mess things up :

U can buy replacement dash panels wich are already painted for you. Costs about 150 dollars and u can just replace them with your original dashparts. Ill see where i got that link of their site and then ill post it here.

QUOTE (GeEkBoY @ Dec 31, 2003 - 9:45 PM)
Let me throw something out here, there is more to performance than just horsepower.

With all the recent talk of the 2zz swap got me thinking.
From what I have found a 2000+ GTS can do a 0-60 in about 6.6 seconds

2000 mass = 2500 lbs
1994 mass = 2580 lbs

If you swap in the 2ZZ your weight should be down closer to 2500 so you should get a 0-60 around 6.6 seconds. Not bad, but consider this:

2AZ-FE, the replacement for the 3S and 5S

In the 2002 Camry with a 5 speed, 0-60 is 8.0 seconds, and this car weighs 3147 or so.

dropping that engine in a 6gc, your 0-60 should be around:
8.0 / 3147 * 2580 = 6.57 seconds (rough approximation)

note that this does not take into accont the reduced weight in engines and better transmission ratios in the 6gc, and this engine is not tuned runing on 87 octane cat-pee.

this engine may bolt up to the GT tranny, not sure though...

I dont know if ur 2000 + GTS is different, but i believe the us version has 180 bhp, and the one we got here in europe has 192 bhp. U said that it runs 0-60 in 6,6 seconds ?? Well the one we got here runs it in 7,4 secs and it has more horsepower, so how could that be ?

U could also revise the whole engine to a 3sgte, just replace all the parts of ur current engine with parts of the 3sge. This costs more but then u got new parts and a kick ass car.

I would save ur money until u can do a 3sgte swap or replacement. I got the 175 bhp 3sge and its nice, but i think it doesnt do any justice with a fast looking car like the celica. Its still slow. The 3sgte is perfect.

Finding a 3sgte engine is very difficult, so im saving for a revision of my engine (to a 3sgte), or ill save some more and buy a GT four.

QUOTE (Jason @ Dec 30, 2003 - 4:36 AM)
You think using the 6SPD Transmission will bolt right in with no problems at all?

I'm not all that worried about standard system things. It would be pretty simple to get my hands on a Tach, and other things like A/C etc aren't much of a concern.

Yes it is done before, and its easy to do. A guy from our celica club called blackjack (he is also member of this forum) has done it already. So i dont think that will cause any problems.

But when looking at this whole project i would think its a big waste of money and time. I cant image why anyone would ever like that engine isntead of a 3sgte or a beams engine.

Btw, the 7th gen GTS engine around here (netherlands) has 192 BHP.

So the questions are :

- Will the turning signals fit ?
- Will the front bumper fit nice on ur car without adjustment ?

And can someone post his pics ? Imagestation sucks !!!! If not email me the pics and i will upload them so that everyone can see them.

yeah it looks like an awesome kit but i wonder why they are using the vis picture with the name smudged out for the pic if they have the kit why arent they using their own pic?

VIS ? U mean C-one. Its a replica of the C-one bodykit. And this is the full kit with side skirts and rear bumper, on the other sites that were mentioned before they only sold the front bumper. I really need this kit !!!

Thats some wicked stuff dude. What is your topspeed and your 0-60 ? Are you faster then the GT4 ?

And what about the cornering ? Cause 300 hp at the front wheels seems pretty hard to keep on the road.

So they replicated that kit from the supra and adjusted it so it would fit the celica ? Well why the hell aint they selling it then. It would be a big hit.
