measure the clutch before you buy one.... there's about a million 4age clutch sizes.... ranging from 200mm to i believe 230mm.....

also, go to a junkyard and pick up a 4th gen celica throttle cable... you'll need a longer one over the 7afe cable

yep, that's an ae101... it has the smaller supercharger pulley.... it's the 10psi version

depends on what car that GZE is out of... if it has an e51 tranny, then the rear mount is just a tiny bit too short, but i've heard it's modifyable to work (in an ae92).....

i haven't been on this forum lately... i'll post up when i get my gze and will be going into my aw11..... should be a simple swap... however, i'm going the cheater route and will be building a megasquirt ecu to run it... possibly sell the s/c and ecu and buy a turbo.... who knows

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules:

1) Please do not litter the area of the place for the meet. We are on public property and do not want to pay fines and/or get in trouble for littering.

2) Do not do anything you wouldn’t do in front of a cop. (No Burnouts, No Excessive Revving, Fighting, Reckless Driving, etc.) I trust you guys are mature enough to set a good example for the street tuning community.

3) Do not bring drugs, alcohol, weapons, etc to the meet. We want this to be a fun and inviting environment. *NO EXCEPTIONS*

4) DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE! If you see anyone stepping into a vehicle that even looks REMOTELY intoxicated, stop them immediately.

5) Please, do not bring any people under the age of 16 to the meet. This is not intended to discriminate anyone, but rather a safety precaution towards other people in and around the meet.

(If you do intend to bring someone under the age of 16, please have an escort with them at all times.)

6) Please respect everyone at and around the meet. The street tuning community does not want to have any more bad press than it already has. Use proper language, no excessive profanity please.

7) While caravanning/cruising to any place, please keep within the regular speed limits and respect other drivers on the road. This is NOT the time to show off your drifting skills.

Obey all meet staff, organizers and grounds when attending the meet. Staff/Organizers will have power to change these rules as they see fit.

9) Golden Rule: Staff/Meet Organizers have a right to ask you to leave the premises of the meet if they feel that you are not following any of these rules. No warnings will be given.

Shoreline Police will also be on site. (They don't get to touch our food though, LOL)

10) The Last Rule: HAVE FUN D@MN!T (Without doing anything stupid.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last one we did (December 6th, was not at the same location, however) had roughly 50-70 cars (hard to tell, many were coming and going) and was on much shorter notice and also was threatening rain there.

you can also get ahold of me if you have any questions:

the 1980 was just an example....... my point is this.... unless you're in california where the emissions are stiffer than a (well, lets not go there).... then you *might* run into some problems... but as long as you're running clean and have EGR stuff in there, you'll be fine

i BARELY failed WA emisisons with my JDM motor with NO emissions.... i could have passed no problem if i had just tossed in my old injectors... i was running too rich.... and this is, again, NO emissions....

JDM motors are NOT illegal..... good lord people...... the only thing that isn't legal is to have a car that doesn't pass emissions for it's respective year.... put a silvertop 20V into a 1980 corolla and it'll probably pass with flying colors....

or, for instance... take a 3s-gte from japan and put the USDM manifolds on it with emissions..... there ya go

it really isn't that hard to figure out

^^^ my point exactly.... it was probably an older tercel... the older ones used a 3a-c motor (A series motor... 4agze would drop right in... if it was an E series motor a 4e-fte woulda been a better idea)

man..... how can the wiring be so bad people give up? doing a 20V is almost the same, and there's several people here who have done that one... the only diff between a 20V and a GZE is the fact that the gze has like 2 or 3 sensors more than a standard 4age...... and the 20V has vvt on top of that, which complicates things

get a 1/2 cut and it won't be THAT hard...... it's been done time and again on ae92's, ae86's, ae102's, and even several prizms......

unless your state does inspections..... they'll never ask..... and it's not like you can't go to a junkyard and find the EGR manifolds and EGR stuff.....

best way to do it on a FWD A series motor.... is to move the battery to the trunk (which helps with front/rear weight ratio) and to use a 2.5" mandrel bent tubing and send the filter into the fender...

using a reducer at the TB from say a 3" tube actually slows the velocity of the air down there....

QUOTE (lagos @ May 17, 2004 - 4:16 AM)
i wouldnt cheap out on anything that has to do with the cooling system of the car. i would say to get a new radiator. you dont want to find out that your engine died because you lost all your coolant and didnt notice it.

exactly what i was thinking.... a longblock is much more expensive than a new radiator....

4afe and 7afe heads are the same... use a 4a-fe head gasket to gain compression, as well as using 4a-fe pistons on a 7a-fe....

if you want a spare head to have built or P&P and not have downtime, i have a 4a-fe head for sale ($50 plus shipping, as is... should be machined and possibly new valves)
