I have gone through 6 axles in the last few months, and I'm still using the 5s. They all seem to break during hard left turns. The most recent axle that I ordered off of the internet makes a horrific grinding/whirring sound when my wheel is turning to the left. Is there an axle that works? I've tried autozone, o'reilley, cardone, and one more that I can't remember.

I have the fog lights off of my 99 ST204 for sale. The Driver side is in good condition, but the passenger side is cracked. I can sell one or both for $20 plus shipping.

Picked these up the other day, now to get rid of the crappy paint job.

My first car was a 90 Celica with a 3s-ge swap. It was pretty run down when I got it, but I sure did love that car.

today I restored my turn signals, they don't look as good as those clear ones, but they still look a hell of a lot better than they did before.

I installed it myself, so I'm sure they were all installed correctly.

Its the passenger side that I have had the problems with, and they have all been the new ones not refurbs.

I have a 1999 ST204 that keeps breaking axles. They are the Axles from O'Reilly's and the inner joint keeps failing. it is usually in hard left hand turns. I'm guessing that they are too short but i'm not sure. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Axles are easy, I have replaced mine about 4 times in the last month. The first one had a bad boot, the second came with a bad carrier bearing that squealed, the third one blew apart two days after I installed it, and I am currently driving on the fourth. Higher tire pressure in the front tires makes a big difference, and like a couple people have mentioned rear sway bar, higher rear spring rates, and just stiffen up the rear as much as you can. I find my car handles the best when the rear can slide. Proper entry speed is also a huge factor. If you are going faster than the car can handle, just hold on because it's going where it wants to.

I replaced my rear motor mount, Installed a front sway bar, and a SRI.

Its usually caused by the suspension. If that tire came into my work we would put a note on the work order saying suspension wear.

We have Celicas, that's what we choose to drive. This is a forum for Celica owners. The whole complaining about you car is getting kinda old. If you want a trans-am or a 300zx by all means go buy one. Just please stop the constant complaining about your car. I love my Celica, I always have. I drive it because it's the car I want. One of the main appeals to me is that it stands out, and I love the way it drives.

I replaced the PS pump on my old 5th gen, and that was one of the worst repairs I have ever done. getting that High pressure line tight is awful.
