Yeah, i know that feeling. I daily drive my wife's 1984 civic hatchback. It's a head turner all right, its just not a hit with the ladies though lol. Typical gear heads love it though. |

Geez, if only i were remotely into hondas maybe i would actually buy a cheap one and fix it up. But i loath hondas, they do not call my attention whatsoever. I'll probably just stick with toyota and nissan models. |

I missed out on a 1987 AE86 GTS for 300, it needed a head gasket, a nice buff to the paint and a new lease on life |

Well, me and my cousin finally have enough money saved up to start our own small business, a garage, he studied motors and what not, i studied autobody technician. One of the things we would like to do is take a old japanese car that's dirt cheap with minor things to do to it and sell it for profit. So, im trying to get a feel for the market and would like you guys to give me your opinion on whats hot in the old japanese car market and what should be our first project. |

Considering that you hit a bear, car doesn't look too bad. I expected more damage. |

Well, after seeing this, heed my warning: don't buy a 6gc in puerto rico, the classifieds i saw 5 celicas between 4500-6000 range. Puerto ricans usually think they have gold in their hand's and sell cars here very expensive, hell, i found a 1981 mitsubishi champ for 1600, total insanity. |

Old nissans and old toyotas are pretty common in puerto rico. Just like how americans are very much into old school american muscle, puerto ricans are gaga for old school japanese cars. My land lord has 4 of these. In my town there's a bunch of them, but not all are in pristine condition, go for it and buy it!!! |

Just spent the day yesterday fixing up my cars alternator, fixing electrical issues, and finally hooking up my projector headlights. My cousin and i started working on the power folding mirrors. We kinda got it working but im not sure if the mirrors are suppose to fold in and out with the touch of the button or holding the button down. How is it suppose to go? |

That oh why god was funny jaja. I was only 16 then and didn't get my first car until i was 18 or 19, so i was never a victim of the previous scenes trends but it does show how far the car culture has come in the last 10 years or so. i had an integra back then and it was well on it way to being fast and furious........ U ever did the big park bench spoiler? |

Just took a time machine back to '01, just finished watching the first two movies in the series, wow. I almost forgot what bright colors and big fat body kits the tuning scene had back then. The movies are still good and fun to watch but the cars look almost ridiculous to today's scene. Anyone on the forum own their 6gc back in that era and succumbed to these trends? |

On any given day i would see all three generations of the mr2,S2000, MK3 and 4 a bunch of hachis but no 240sx or 6gc. 3,4,5,7 celicas are common where i live. |

I never really understood why the aftermarket embraced the civic so much and not so much our celicas. What does the civic have over the celica? Style? No. More power? No. What does that econo box have?!?!?! |

Jeez don't get me started with the dang honda kids. Thanx to my wife's job, im forced to drive her 84 civic hatchback. Im not content driving around in that thing, im 26 years old and driving a kiddie ride. And is it me or do honda's have race car written on it somewhere? Because it seems that at every red light, a douche in a honda wants to race revving their engines. It's really annoying. The only good thing i can say about my wife's civic is the great fuel mileage i get in it. 5 dollar's of gas is like 15 for these little things. |

Had the same problem today with my celica as well. It has a new battery, turned on fine the other day, today nothing. I'll check it again in two days or so and see if it feels like turning on hahaha |

Imo, the 7gc trd spoiler on a 6gc hatch would look a little off. Seeing as how our cars have a more round rear, the pointy trapezoid like trd spoiler off the 7gc wouldn't complement our cars very well, it just wouldn't flow well. 7gc on the other hand has a more pointy body all around in which the trd spoiler fully complements. |

Well then something weird is going on over here because i see the exotics more often than i see the normal grocery getters i listed. I guess i should lucky for the oportunity to run into these cars on a daily basis but its just disturbing that i don't see the inexpensives imports running around. |

It has come to my attention that there are a number of cars that are what you might call practical that aren't seen everyday. For instance where i live in puerto rico, what i call normal cars like our 6gc isn't seen everywhere but i every now and then i see a mkIV supra. Exotic cars a see often in the street: Supra rx-7 GTR s2000 350 370 Z Mr2 Normal cars which i rarely see anymore 6gc 240sx Miata eclipse These cars are more or less the same vintage as a integra, civic, corolla, camry, sentra etc but i rarely see them. Is it only here or is this same thing happening elsewhere? I just find it odd to see a car like the supra more often than a 6gc. |
