QUOTE

Well Simon eventually got around to buying the relay for the mirrors and now everything is plugged in and working sweet. Problem was that the version of the control unit that we had (8wire with pink) needs the relay to work correctly. Sure you can do it with a toggle switch, but he wanted it to have the factory look

can you tell me a part number or send me a picture of that relay? i have one from a different toyota, but can't get it to work mad.gif seem's i will have to order the correct relay box kindasad.gif

they look exactly like oem. there are two version of oem sideskirts: with lower side panels (before and behind the door) and with higher ones. but apart from that the skirts look similar.

z-glide has/had three different skirt types i have seen so far. they all look different to the ones in your link.

btw: the front is also not z-glide! looks more like the erebuni one that a pal of mine has on its 6gen.

#6 for cover ("2006" inserted in the perspective of the 6gc writing)

then

2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17

the B-R (black and red) wire is labelled with ANT in my diagrams... but there should be a second wire going to the antenna relay from the radio... P-L (pink and blue) also labelled AMP!?

as far as i remember (years ago) i had to split the trigger wire from my aftermarket radio in two wires to get the automatic antenna to work properly!

has anybody found out anything new yet?

i have the same problems as you guys ;-) got the jdm mirrors and a controller unit (buttons) and separately bought a relay box (mirror control).

i also have the pink wire on the controller that is supposed to trigger the relay... i found out about the relay wiring (11 pins)... still can't get it to work :-( maybe the relay is broken somehow?!

anyway, i would like to use the one-wire-method (pink wire) because i want to use the tiny little button for folding the mirrors ;-) plus i would like to trigger the folding with a single cable from my remote central locking!!!

so i can not use the diy-relay with a switch but need info on how to make everything work with a single wire!

any help is greatly appreciated :-D

just take it out to make sure the existing space is sufficient for your plans.

you only need to take off or raise the shifter-panel and remove 2 screws there and then remove the big screws inside the armrest. then you can lift it and check the space underneath.

i have stored lots of cable in there...

something is wrong here!?

if it is a uk or jdm celica as i suppose, it should have the 2.0 litre 3s-ge engine with around 170hp.

the 3s-fe is the 2.0 litre engine from camry, carina... and many others... but it was never used in a celica (correct me if i'm wrong)! has less hp than the 3s-ge, i think around 130!

i have a 2003 trd catalog showing no application for 6gen celis :-(

there sure is a kit for the 3s-ge engine (jdm/euro) but that probably won't fit a us model!?

egr can be removed or deactivated without any effects on performance or lifespan or whatever... it is a device only used for better/less emission!

QUOTE
Still don't know if the Charcoal canister can be removed?

that doesn't have anything to do with egr! it is part of the fuel system and used for filtering fuel gases from the tank! so better not remove that rolleyes.gif

gary is absolutely right! tank has to be removed to reach the pump thumbsup.gif

thanks for the documentation, gary! that is something i want to do in the near future. do you think the walbro pump is the best choice (i know everybody seems to use them)? i have heard it has a shorter lifespan than the stock pump!?

ebay... tongue.gif

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=8017086530

also some guy from asia regularly sells trd replica tuning parts and replicas of the raiser blocks as well. can't find a link at the moment, but you only have to watch ebay...

since the blocks are genuine toyota parts you can also order them at your local toyota dealership!

edit:
link for replica raisers -> http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8018654766

great pics! i like pictures with "atmosphere" smile.gif

nice and clean car you have! mine has the same style: almost stock, no body kit (not needed on a four imho), black wrc raisers and big wheels. very nice...

what color is your four? is that a standard color or repainted?

the fan is located behind/under the glove box. you have to remove the glove box to access the fan motor. it's mounted with some screws and is easy to exchange.

i've already had the same problem with two celicas. both motors became very noisy and i exchanged them with used parts from ebay.

5th-gen fans also fit (and probably some other models) only the electric connector is a little different. but that can be fixed very easily smile.gif

i have been in the red range several times, up to around 7200-7300 rpm, and the limiter never came on. so i think lagos is right.

although, mr_e is also right: you can go up there but it doesn't make sense because the turbo is said not to be very effective above 6000. max power output (hp) is reached at 6000 rpm on a stock engine.

hI markus!

hast du das schon im DE- oder AT-forum gefragt? biggrin.gif

the problem is, that the auto-ac-module has no integrated servos or motors to control the heater and fan etc. so it is probably impossible to install it without a whole bunch of other parts from a jdm frown.gif

in germany most people say CHELLIKA (like in "czech" or "chesterfield"), but the common english version should be SELLIKA with a sharp s (like "sister" or "sex").

anyway, one american friend of mine is always fooling me because i have a "SILLY CAR" rolleyes.gif at least it's a silly car with around 300hp biggrin.gif
