Hi ,
I have had a fault on my brakes for some time , the ABS cuts in at low braking speeds.
I have changed the discs & pads & bled the brakes and just passed the test ( I thought it would fail ) The ABS light goes out as it should and I have tried to get the codes but no luck, I removed the short pin and connected E1 toTC the first time the light went out and then flashed twice then a space of 2 or 3 seconds then twice again and it kept doing this no other break. I then thought to clear any error codes so pumped the brake 8 or 10 times with the ignition on ( not running ) tried again and got ABS light going out then a continuous pulse every second or so. Is there a code when everything is OK ? Help anyone.
Thanks
Trevor

Hi guys I have a problem with my brakes sounding like there was no pad left but when I checked there was plenty of pad , they scrape when i start in the morning but get better as i go on, I have also had a judder or the ABS cutting in only sometimes when braking normally, the discs are not in the best condition , pitted ,rusty and grooved in places, I am going to try replacing the pads and bleed the system , if that wont work , i will replace the discs. The ABS light comes on at first and goes off as normal, i have tried looking at the speed sensors but they are fixed firm and i don't want to break them if i don't have to. Does any one else have any other ideas, I need to get it retested and get it back on the road. Thanks

Hi ,I have replaced all my pads ,but on the rear callipers the top bolt has a rubber grommet in it and no visible means to undoing it, I replaced the pads by undoing the bottom bolt and lifting the calliper but wondered if there is any way to remove the top bolt Thanks

These 2 versions were available in the UK in small quantities,I have a 1999 SR one of the last made, they stopped in November 1999,my reg number is V93, there is a Gen 7 registered with V86 so they were both on sale at same time. I have tried to put my car on my profile but my model is not there, what do you suggest ? I find 6G as the best club, there is so much information I am just about to start mods and will post updates as I go Thanks.

25th Anniversary Limited Edition
To celebrate 25 years of the Celica in the UK, in 1997 Toyota GB offered a limited edition. Based on the 1.8 ST, just 250 were made, 125 in black and 125 in silver. The spec was as per the GT but with special alloy wheels, air conditioning as standard, a carbon fibre effect front console, a Sony CD player and a 25th Anniversary plaque with a unique serial number.

SR
Following the success of the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, Toyota GB followed up in 1998 with the SR. Again based on the ST, this time 250 were made in silver and 250 in black. No serial number plaque or carbon fibre effect for the SR but 16" Momo sports alloys and a stainless steel mesh grill made the car look special.
