April 3rd 6pm at Lowes THHHHH-eatra for a viewing of what is surely to be videographic genius. At the last premier our little section had close to 50 on lookers just asking about our cars and if we were "DA-rifters."

Ok serious time. A bunch of local as well as a few regional forums are all buzzing about this date and time, just trying to show my old homie 6GC and its few Pitt members a good time....and (quickly, quickly before they realize is a two-fourty)

BAM

ya its mine...I know I know, total pos right
Hope to have some 6GC repin at the premeir

interesting topic, lol...I was actually a "featured extra" in this film. IMHO it was ****. Started slow and end simi dec. It had great potential but the script just sucked way bad

and for good measure me, after 2 hours of make up and wardrobe

It was a really really fun movie to work on thought

Ok since my sr's alternator died on me, i couldn't make the pitt meet today so instead I decided to go to a good friends party tonight. Its a Night at the Roxburry theme party. I always loved the movie and the music for some reason...got me thinking

....What is everyone's favorite theme party?? 80's, toga, graffiti, underwear, wine????

ps. i love roburry parties cause there all about dancing...i love to dance

Here's the deal with erg valves, your in FL, no inspection you can either remove it or make a blocking plate. It prob will throw a code and cause ur check engine light to come on but its nothing to worry about. I made a blocking plate for my eclipse back in the day because he in PA we require visual inspection of the egr. the egr imo is worthless...just send un burt gas back into your intake manifold...very bad. Thats why JDM engines dont have'em

you really wont notice any difference in spool up. at most you are only removing a foot of piping from that bend. and even then, people add that same amount back to the setup by routing their cold pipe over to the drivers side of the car, for some reason.

as far as looks go, it does make for cleaner install, but make sure you make a bracket thats nice and solid. the ones tweak posted look a little on the thin side. i would worry that any flexing in that bracket could cause you to over boost. you could make something like that for 4bucks with a jig saw, a drill, and some sheetmetal from homedepot.

I agree that you Art wouldn't feel that much of a difference in spooling, but there would be some. My buddy convinced me to do a mid mount set up on my sr after he did his. Now granted he has a t28 BB on his sr but he is at full spool by 36-3700rpm(18lbs). He lost almost 5 ft of ICP. Since im still on the stock t-25 I'll prob reach full spool around 41k rpms (10lbs) oposed to my 48ish now

Yeah I was reading about making the IWG bracket but its not hard to trace out a templet and then buy some metal and cut it. Would prob cost you 10-15 bucks at most if that. It just seems like an easier mod to do and more benifical...you shorten your ICP which means 2 things, one faster spool, and two less money spent on ICP. And it looks alot cleaner. Probs to you itchy for doing it

It's not that easy.
If you can do one for less than $15, I'll buy from you.
Make sure it is strong enough and won't bend under stress.

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=40547

why dont you just buy one from Dr. Tweak....30 bucks shipped doesn't sound to bad

I rest my case

Just a general question...I know a few (mostly Dr. Tweak) have clocked turbos for there set ups. My question is why doesn't all the 3s and 5s guys do it. Clocking the turbo isn't that hard, just relocate the wastegate. It would shorten up ur ICP leading to a somewhat faster spool and its looks better imo. I'm actually going to be doing a midmount setup this winter with the sr cause of the difference in spool time. I was just wondering y no one does it?

Since you have an ST if you get a 3Sgte out of a st185 or 205 you will have to source aither a GT or 3SGE tranny. Along with changing one of your motor mounts. If you get a 3SGTE out of an MR2 you have to relocated the alternator. You can use its tranny, and if you purchase 93+ outa of an mr2 u get a vlsd. I dont know to much on the 3s swap since im a nissan guy, but i think thats most of it...someone else help this kit out

yeah, the safc is the major flaw in your setup so far, but everything else looks great.

i would also like to commend you on not painting the engine pink. i know that if this was tina's build up, this would have been the case. smile.gif

WHHAAAA Pink is sooo JDM Art
