I'm pretty disappointed too, but we just haven't been able to get to MI to work on the car. And now that we're in the middle of tearing apart the 6th gen AGAIN, we're not even bringing a celica to the meet.

Foil. We usually cover the grill in foil because they're dirty...

I think we may still have leftover charcoal. I'll try to remember to look when I get home from work tonight.

Just in case we're completely rained out, do you have the small grill that we used that one year?

I picked up charcoal too, since I hadn't heard from anyone earlier tonight. I'll just leave it at home for a different time.

I also picked up some Pepsi, Mountain Dew, root beer, and orange soda, as well as tortilla chips, bbq chips, and ketchup. I didn't grab any mustard or anything else though.

You shouldn't be travelling through Chicago, but rush hour on a Friday afternoon can extend south of the city and into northwest Indiana. Some people live in nw IN and travel to Chicago and the 'burbs for work.

Well, at least the timing should put you in Chicago after rush hour, or near the end of it. The last thing you want at the end of a roadtrip is to city in rush hour traffic.

Not getting banned:

2. Navseal345 (Devin) - plates/ napkins/ eating utensils & maybe some brats/ sausages.

With Zake and Jackie arriving a little late, we may need someone else to bring the chips and pop. Anyone want this task? Maybe you guys (Zake and Jackie) can maybe bring water for while we're hiking instead...?

Devin, are you definitely bringing brats/sausages, or should someone else?

-Toppings/condiments for the burgers and brats (ketchup, mustard, mayo, onions, tomatos, relish, pickles, whatever you guys want...)
-Any other sweets (since Manda won't have an epic cookie cake thing for us)

Who else is down for pizza at Girodano's? We need to try and get a final number if we're going to make a reservation. Manda, I think dinner would be around 7ish, or maybe even slightly later. Do you think you guys can make it?

Next in line for my boss' job would mean at least double my current salary. It would be nice, but it's not that easy here.

We just got back from vacation and went back to work on Tuesday. I definitely don't have any motivation to be at work, especially when it means sitting through three hour meetings almost everyday. Bleh.

The rain actually made some pretty nice photos that one time.

Yeah, this has always been a rain or shine meet. So everyone should be prepared to hike through mud and cold water, and wear clothes that you're not afraid to get dirty.

Weather permitting, I don't see why not. And even then, a little rain never stopped us.

Okay, pizza it is. You have four main options for Chicago deep dish: Giordano's, Gino's East, Pizzeria Uno, and Lou Malnati's. Giordano's is our staple for when we want pizza.

Oh, it's funny. There's no need for a furious Brigette or an awkward drive home. It's not like any of the guys would enjoy the show; it's more like, "my eyes are burning!!!"

And yes, in this case, Wikipedia can be trusted.

But if we want to keep it kid friendly, late night at Weiner's Circle is not going to work. As far as finding a place to eat, give us an idea of what kinda food (hot dog/burgers, pizza, sushi, etc), and we can give you guys a few options. Since the food here in Chicago is what we're used to, I can't think of something off the top of my head that would be out of this world.

Well if it helps at all, there are no dipsticks or weiners involved in a chocolate shake.

Or maybe you missed the fact that I said, "chocolate shake," and not "chocolate milkshake."

Either way, maybe we should make a trip down there and order one for you.

Well, if they don't sell milkshakes, think of what else you may get if you ask for a chocolate shake...

As long as you know what to expect there, it's hilarious. But to the unsuspecting tourist, I imagine it would be quite an experience. Especially the chocolate shake!

Can anyone on the "possibly getting the ban hammer" list confirm whether or not they will be able to make it? Only 2.5 weeks left to decide!

Doing the bushings will either happen this weekend, or it will not be done before the meet.

No problem, I'm a mod over on celicatech. The celica community is pretty small, so mods and admins from one board tend to be regular members or staff on other boards as well.

Now start planning on attending the Dragon meet, LOL!

At one point in time, we were getting lots of spam on celicatech, so we started monitoring and manually approving every new user request. I'm not sure what happened. It shows that you signed up in August, but you weren't showing in the pending approval queue. No clue how it slipped through the cracks, but your screen name was never approved. Sorry

It should be fixed now though, so try again and let me know. You may have gotten an email at the address you provided to let you know that the screen name has been approved.
