Hi,

I have a 1997 1.8 ST Right hand drive.

I think I've snapped the fuel door cable (If thats the right terminology). It had been sticky for a while and sometimes wouldn't open. It wouldn't open yesterday so I gave it a good old yank and it made a nasty sound. The door opened and I filled her up. Now it wont open. I fear I've snapped the cable.

How hard is it to replace or repair?

If it's a total replacement I guess I need this type of thing:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-Toyota-Celi...=item3cbd41e16d

The button is on the opposite side from the door so I'm guessing routing could be a pain.

Anybody have experioence of this?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

After a week, this seems to have righted itself. Bizarre.

Hi All,

Long time lurker here looking for some guidance.

I have a 1.8 ST from 1997. UK version.

The other day the battery died. Well, my darling other half never closed the boot properly and the wee "doors open" light managed to drain the battery.

After recharging, the indicators now flash for 30 seconds everytime I stop or start the car. The car still drives non bother so it's not the biggest inconvenience. Anybody know how to reset it?

I'm sure with another celica I had you had to disconnect a battery terminal when the key was turned or something?

The alarm is the standard TVSS IIIB (I believe) with the flashing LED in front of the gear stick. I don't have a fob and there is no valet switch down at the drivers side.

Any help appreciated!

cheers
CB
