well the header flange and gasket meet right where the first cat goes. so in order to make the height of everything to fit, the first cat would need to be removed. i dont know if i misread your post or not, but i didnt know if this was understood. it has the o2 bung, im just not sure if anything would go wrong if i take a cat out.

hey guy, i have a header i wanted to install on my 94, 7a-fe, and it has 2 cats. with the new header i need to knock out the first cat. but from the engine it goes o2 sensor, cat, o2 sensor, cat, then just exhaust. i was wondering if keeping the o2 sensors in the same spot and taking out the first cat would do anything like make it run worse or anything even as little as the check engine light. im from pa, and we dont have emissions testing so im not worried about that, just the fact of re-selling it if i ever decide to, or just general concern. any advice would be great. thanks!

so the side that goes into the trans, after the cv joint there is a seal that comes out and could be replaced? like the section that itself goes into the tranny and the cv boot, theres a seal that goes behind the boot that meets the tranny?

hey guys, i need to replace an axle, and was wondering if there was a seal on the cv joint where it meets the transmission. i dont have photo to use but right where the passenger side axle goes into the tranny, the back of the cv joint, is there a seal or something i should replace when i replace the axle/cv joint? or is there no seal or anything at all?

The power steering assembly is the tensioner for the power steering pump. You have to loosen it from underneath the car.

Easier to remove the wheel first, then you should be able to see better too.

im still new to workin on cars, so im trying to learn all i can, but where is the pwer steering assembly? like is it right under the belt, so i can get to it easily with the tire off? and will it be like the tensionor for the alternator?

i was wondering if anyone had a link or could just tell me, is the tensioner under the alternator in a st the tensioner for all the belts? i have the 3s-fe and wanted to replace all the belts. i know the waterpump and alternator belt use the alternator tensionor, but i wasnt sure if that would loosen the other two to replace, or if there was another tensioner for the power steering one

is there anyway to do that without going to a garage? i know not to let them spin at all, but if they happen to, is a garage the only place to do that?

As stated before, it should run the same as long as both O2 sensors are still there and intact. As I recall, installing a header on the 7A has decent returns. I know some members with a 5S put their original intake manifold back on for emissions testing but the 7A requires a little custom exhaust work since the header is too short and won't reach the factory exhaust under the car.

sorry, but that confused me a little. so your saying i might need to mod the headers i bought to get them to fit? and will the first cat fit in with the new headers?
