Thanks for the feedback and photos, Now i'm sure that i will buy these too and install them myself.
I'm planning to put on Megan Racing Springs.
Spec:
- Color: Orange
- Lower rate: 2" Front, 1.75-2" Rear
- Springs rate: 300F & 250R

So these will have no problem fitting the struts, and with my 17inch weels there will be no rubbing issues or anything?
i'm still not too experienced with this stuff.

I will let you know when i bought them and when i installed them, if i should run into some problems i'm sure you guys can give me good advice if needed.

Good to know about the four-wheel alignment.

So how are they? can you give a little feedback about the riding comfort with the Stagg Struts, is it good comfort?

They have a nice look to them, it looks like you installed it properly.
Is it a lot of work installing them and is it difficult?

I'm new on the site and i'm looking to put new struts and springs to upgrade my riding confort.
I want to do as much as possible modifications myself, but i'm still a beginner.

if i should buy the Stagg struts what springs are recommended? and how much drop?
I don't want my celica to be too low, just a little lower than original is fine for me.

So last weekend i went to a tyre center and i balanced my front wheels ( the wheels that dont make any noise) and cheked if they were still straight.

The two front tyres/rims are still straight, i also wanted to check my rear tyres/rims if they were still straight because these are the only ones making noise.

They cheked one of my rear tyres and we immediatly noticed that the rim was not straight annymore, the only way to reparing this is by going to a garage or rims specialist that renovates and straightens rims.

We instantly replaced that rear wheel with my full size identical spare that is still in new condition. We balanced the spare and put it on.

The spare also has annother brand of tire than the wheel on the other side.

Next month i will go to the tyre centre to install two new front tyres, i will use one of the used and replaced tyre to put on my other rear rim so the brand and tyre matches with the spare.

At the same time i will check if my other rear rim is still straight, because this has not been cheked yet.

Now i'm riding with the TTE rims and the only wheel that still is making a little noise is the rear one that has not been checked yet.

I think that the other rim is also not straight annymore or that the noise/rumbling is caused by the tyres that are installed on the rear rims that these are indeed no good annymore.

So i'll let you know the outcome next month

I also got a great contact for rims renovation, a garage that staightens, paints and renovates rims

If the outcome next month is still with noise or rumbling i will go to the garage to fully renovate my TTE rims

Thanks for the advice given

Hello everybody at 6gc,

First of all i want to say that this is a great site where you can find all kinds of information and advice.
Toyota is the best of them all and i just cant get anough of those celica's, there the best.
This is my verry first post here.

I own my 2nd celica for about a year now, its a AT200 from 1997 with the 7AFE.
It has about 120.000KM and i never had any real problems with the celica.

But last week i bought TTE rims, i really wanted TTE Rims and found a good set of 5 rims.
They where optional on the celica of 1999, i think for the 1.8l and the 2.0 turbo too.
They are still in verry good condition, when i bought the rims i placed them myself with a friend once placed they looked great and we went to test them.
But once on the road doing about 40KM/H i noticed something was not correct because i heard a weird rumbling noise and it seemed like it was coming from my 2 front rims/tires.

I didn't really understand it because it was making a really heavy noise once going about 40KM/H and once i go lower speed or higher speed it stops.
Once it starts rumbling i can feel it going trough my legs and dashboard but this is also weird, ik cant feel any shaking or rumbling or something else in my steeringwheel.
My steeringwheel stays the same and does not shake when the weels are rumbling, its like the car is driving great but once i hit 40KM/H the my front end starts shaking and it feels like its coming from the front weels, you can feel the shake trough you're dash and doorpanel but the steeringwheel is not shaking and is still driving straight and good.

So i dicided to search untill i found the problem.
First thing i did was put my 4 original wheels on again and see what happen, i did that but everything was great just as before i installed the TTE rims.
No shaking no rumbling no noise just driving soft and normal at any speed.

So the day after i went to a tire center and asked some questions, they advised to scrub al the dirt and other stuff from the place where you instal the rims before instaling them.
And also that the original lug nuts of the rims are also verry important, but i never had any lugnuts specially for the rims.
And these rims are optional on a celica 1999 so you never get any other rims with the car these are already installed.

So a week later with 3 guys one of them a mecanic where going to take a look at the rims and install them.
We cleaned everything verry good, with installed the rims the mecanic took a good look at the conic lugnuts and he said these where good for these rims.
We started installing them we only installed the two front tires verry good and took a verry good look that the rims were a perfect fit and that they didn't shake or nothing.
They where installed correctly and tightend up verry good, we went and took a drive and i had the identical same problem.

I went back we put on the original rims and the problems where gone.
So now i'm still driving with my original rims.

The TTE rims are placed on my celica in the foto on my profile

I hope i explained it good enough to get some good advice from you guys

Thanks in advance
