QUOTE(95st-celica @ Mar 7, 2008 - 4:26 PM) you will have no problem with whatever harness you send tweak Thanks for the info. I just don't want to have someone invest a ton of money and me not be able to make it work. I am an excellent mechanic but not so great with electrical. I know the 3rd gen inside and out, but if tweak does the harness for the sec gen guys. I would complete the 2nd gen swap as well. Thanks Lance |

QUOTE(snapshotgt @ Mar 7, 2008 - 4:43 PM) I would strongly suggest you post up some picture of your work and give some references so people aren't doing this blindly. Even invite potential customers to come to your place where you'd be doing the swap so they could scope it out and see your actual work first hand. Check out my profile. Pics inside!!! I did the complete swap and painted it in my garage. I don't have a huge shop just working from the house. I love the 6 gen celi. I sold mine to pay some over due bills. I now have a bagged out s-10. Looks bad ass but doesn't have the same appeal. I do custom paint work too. |

QUOTE(mikecelica @ Mar 7, 2008 - 4:36 AM) how much would you charge for a 2nd gen swapped into a 94 st if i provided you with a st185 front clip? Info for all. I do not find parts. Ebay and the good old search button will guide you on your adventures. I won't do a second gen swap unless tweak would do the harness. 2nd gens 1000 plus all parts and tweak does the wiring. 3rd gens 1000-1500 depending on mods and you still buy all the parts. If I have to find all of the parts for your potential swaps the price will go up. time is money. I guess for eveyone who thinks this is a couple thousand dollar investment...only email if you have 5-7k cash in hand. I really only want to do 3rd gens. I only want to work with the best. |

QUOTE(cjh4l22 @ Mar 6, 2008 - 5:20 PM) where are you located in ohio? and what would you be wanting to charge? I'm in cincinnati and I am considering the 3sgte swap into my 95st. PM me. thanks. Here is what you need. Its' gonna cost you like 6-7k to do the swap the right way. You could use the gt trans and it would be under 6. The hood alone on this clip is worth a grand. Lance http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-3SGTE-F...sspagenameZWDVW |

QUOTE(supra12big @ Mar 6, 2008 - 1:36 AM) 2nd gen? Probly could, but I Know the 3rd gen very well. Finished and sold my 3rd gen swap a while ago. I know how to wire the st205 engine harness. I could do the swap and have tweak do the harness. I don't really want to be dependent on somone elses work. Tweak does excellent work from what i've read though. I can do a killer install on the third gen, no check engine lights or trouble codes just full boost! |

QUOTE(scothaniel @ Aug 27, 2007 - 8:29 PM) So it was working with the light bulb trick and then stopped? Loose wire, or did the bulb burn out? By running hot, do you mean the water temp or EGT's? Generally speaking, a boosted motor generates more heat then a NA. I bought the Koyo racing radiator and haven't had any problems with water temps. It was working in the garage but i have finally been driving her. The light would come on and function normally before, it would go off until the gas was applied and then re-light. now it won't even light up. I am in the process of pulling it all out again and starting fresh one more time. My stock temp gage is reading that the water temp is normal right in the middle...I just wanted to know if these cars run hot? seems to be very hot under the hood. Also do you have a part # for the bosch relay you are using and is there wiring involved to get the speedo to work? All other factory guages work. I'm thinking it is a broken speed sensor. I can drive her to you know if that would help speed things up...and you are free I still owe you dinner or some drinks. I really want to see how hard she pulls under full bost, It's going to be wicked fast!! Thanks Guys Lance |

QUOTE(phattyduck @ Aug 26, 2007 - 6:52 PM) Do you also have the intercooler level sensor wires shorted? Having a non-working level sensor will cause the code 54 right away, I believe. (if you have no AWIC, that connector should be shorted) -Charlie Sensor is gone wires are connected together like a jumper at the plug. Thanks Lance |

I can't seem to get the "Light Bulb" bypass circit to work properly. My car is in low boost mode code 54. I have the wiring diagram for tricking the ecu, but Mine doesn't seem to be working corectly. It originally worked bulb stayed light for a while and would shut off untile the gas was applied. Now the check engine light comes right on??? Also do these cars normally run very hot? this is my first turbo car and it sems extremely hot but the temp guage is in the middle. The car hits fuel cut or is in low boost mode how do I correct this issue? Spits and sputters arround 4500-5000 Also does anyone know if there are any toyota models with the same speed sensor? my speedo doesn't seem to be working. Lance |
