Finally decided to get rid of her. I've just betting getting into other things as I get more into my 30's. I'll just post a link to my Craigslist add. PM me if your interested. I'm in no rush to sell her. It's not like I owe anything on her and she's more than comfy sitting in the turnaround in my driveway, so no low-ball offers please. I am also NOT willing to part it out, AT ALL, even the JDM parts. If someone buys it and doesn't want, say, the strut bars for axample, then yes, I will be selling them separate. http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/5041548687.html |

The foam is trashed. The passenger seat is completely blown out, with the driver side being ok at best. My brother who occasionally rides with me already has back problems, so it just isn't a good situation. Probably wouldn't be that bad if the car hadn't been lowered. Have checked Craigslist and junkyards, nada. Also tried swapping belts, it could've worked. I would have had to hammer sheet metal out of the way to keep the belt from rubbing it. So just put back the way it was, and am trying to glue the fabric back down as we speak. Rear seat is back in, so that should help with some road noise. What about these? 7th Gen Seats They're the cheapest OEM seats on Ebay right now. Don't get any of those ****ty off brand seats. I've owned a couple pair in my day, they break in no time. These aren't in the greatest of shape, but they look better than yours sound lol. |

Are the front splitters OEM or fiberglass? I could always use a back up set of OEM ones! |

1. 5S-FE 2. I've owned other Megan Racing parts and wasvery pleased. They also sponsored my Integra I had at the time when they first started out. 3. Your vehicle should reach a specific operation temperature whichever radiator you use, however a good one will help dissipate heat better when heavily modded so you don't over heat. 4. Haven't installed it yet, but I would be surprised with any issues. 5. About the same as Diego 6. It will work just fine with a swap as Diego stated. I haven't swapped my trans yet so I will be installing a separate cooler I bought from Summit for the auto trans if I decide to install it before the transmission swap. |

What they said. You've either got a couple wires crossed somewhere or a short to ground. |

What about if you turn it around so the crossbar is towards the back and re-drill the holes on the mounts? Will it still be in the way? |

Picked up the 68 Impala SS Convertible my Grandfather left for me after he died a few weeks ago. WooHoo! Peace out Grandpa! Thanks for the boat with wheels! I'm either gonna sell it and buy a muscle car more to my liking or drop it and paint it black. Either one will make him roll over in his grave. That's what he gets for always blaming me every time my cousins did something wrong! |

Today I backed out of my garage and saw this in my neighbor's driveway. ![]() Molded in eBay WRX lights. Epitome of poor taste. I am, however, interested in knowing what else is going on with it - so I might meander over when they're outside and have a peek-see. Just don't feed him after midnight or get him wet ![]() |

What would be the best solution to fix it? it didn't do it this morning at all. Im wondering if it's worth taking it in to the shop. 1. Flush and fill with Syncromesh - drive it until it gives out (which could take any amount of time from days to years) 2. Find a used transmission and swap - you run the risk of not knowing how long it will last though 3. Full rebuild 4. Replace just that planetary gearset - I don't recommend this option as your spending so much money, you might as well do a full rebuild 5. Sell it and buy a lower mileage 6gc If you have enough mechanical knowledge or have someone that does and will charge you little to nothing for labor, I would go with swapping it for a used transmission. In this case, I would probably also just do the flush, fill and drive until it becomes necessary to replace it. In the mean time try finding a low mileage transmission. If you have some money to spend, you can probably find a beat auto trans for basically free or very little money. Grab it and have it rebuilt, then swap it. Most of your options are pretty much common sense. It comes down to your available funds, how much your car is worth to you and how much of your funds you're willing to part with for it. |

An evening? Are you kidding me? The fiance is up my ass when I try and put an hour into the car during a weekend. If I even ACTED like I was going to work on the car during the evening during "her time" I would never hear the end of it. |

I just don't have the time to do that kind of involved type of work anymore. The lady and I only have a driveway at our townhouse and all my tools are 40 min away in my parents garage. That takes even more time that I don't have to drive there. Plus I used to work for the garage that did it so he doesn't charge me much labor. I said it sounded like a timing issue. He said he'd check it out even though he "checked it 4 times". |

I picked up my 6gc from the shop after dropping it off Thursday morning for timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idler pulley. Got 10 min out and had to drive it back. Something is screwed up with it. The nice little undertone of the Injen intake now sounds like a Civic with a PepBoys muffler and what little high RPM range torque it had is now non-existent. If you step on it, it shifts down, the intake screams at me like the mother of all bubble-bees and the powerband falls flat on it's face until it shifts. .... So needless to say, I'm disappointed that I still don't have my Celica. |

Sounds like the planetary gearset. There are a couple of planetary gearsets in the transmission. Each one is used differently for the corresponding gear range. That is why the noise goes away after the gear range shift to 2nd. When enough teeth wear you've basically got two cylinders trying to turn each other. They'll whine as they spin through all of the metal shavings that have been created by teeth breaking off of the gears until there aren't enough teeth to touch each other and turn the driveshafts. It is not a normal sound to have within helical gears ... it is however normal with spur gears such as most reverse gearing. Mine does not make any noise, whining or other, in any gear. |

I've owned 3 of them (Plus two 3rd gens including a USDM Type R) and I would say that the QUALITY is just as good, if not better. I can't think of a think on the car that was made cheaply or wasn't engineered with a practical enthusiast in mind. My 2nd gen GS-R had every luxury feature that my 99 GT-S 6gc has. The 6gc handles a little better and is more comfortable, but the Integra was MUCH faster. Both the GS's I had were probably fast too. Both have the stupid power antenna that breaks on every car. The JBL sound system in the 6gc is much nicer then the Infinity one that was the Integra, but I wouldn't say that's a quality issue as much as a luxury benefit. As much as I love me 6gc, and I would not trade it for an Integra (maybe a JDM Type R), there is nothing bad I can say about them ... except I'm sick of the people who drive them ![]() |

Oh THAT strut bar. Though, I suppose that is technically a "3-point" strut bar, I thought you meant the TRD one. |

NEED MORE INFO -Where is the sound coming from? I'm assuming the engine bay as you mentioned it NOT being a squealing belt. -Can you compare the sound to something (a video would be best if you could) -Is the sound noticeable at idle? -You say it goes away at higher speeds yet in your title is says after 15mph ... which is it? -Title also says it goes away in 2nd, does it go away as soon as you put it in 2nd, every time? -Any difference when it's hot or cold? |
