I completely agree w/ Pvc99gt, I would guarantee that if they sold shoddily made Altezzas for our Celica's, they'd be selling like friggin hotcakes. All of you deny the fact, but I've heard MANY people on this website, more originally than now, that have tried to "petition" a company into manufacturing them. Now on the positive side, the lack of aftermarket products has also made many of us (including myself) more innovative and creative with our cars and we've done some pretty tight custom work that's all out original. In closing, don't hate Honda's because there are companies that make **** for their cars...hate the unoriginal bastards that drive them and put Type R stickers, loose body kits, and those GOD FORSAKEN windshield wiper fluid dispenser LED thingy's....DAMN I HATE THOSE.

I used to work at a company in Memphis TN where we had mechanics who installed stereos, body kits and hydraulics. I know it sounds cool....hitting your switches in the drop top under the sun...I used to think the same thing. You obviously don't personally know anybody with hydro's. Hydraulics are meant to be used very sparingly (like once or twice a month for competition purposes ONLY) When you get down on the strip and start hitting them every day or even every other day, you end up having to get under your car and you get hydraulic fluid and crap all over you. I'm actually not even sure you COULD get a really good hydraulic system on your car because you don't have the room for your batteries, pumps or dumps. You'd be making WAY too big of an investment and risk getting hydraulics...they're a pain in the arse. Bags would look pretty good, but they're even more expensive than hydros...but if you got the bread to break for good ones....that would be my choics.

I'd have to agree with supersprynt. If you're going to mod it, go ahead and make the front flush with the rest of the front bumper. go ahead and get a small grille and paint it black or the same color as yor car. That damn thing looks like some sort of secret squirrel gatling gun stickin out of the bumper.

Yeah, over in Japan those sell like hotcakes. I had some hooked up, shining on my gauges just like that pic before I got my Indoglos. Then I had some shining down from the plastic dome light and som ein my rear glass and they looked pretty phat. They interface with a regular cigarette lighter adapter, I had a multiple adapter (4 slots) that I had hooked up under my dash. If anybody wants some they're dirt cheap over here at Autobacs and just mail me and I'll give you some more info.

Yeah, count me in. Just email me when you decide to go ahead with the order because I only have time to get on the website about once a week.

QUOTE
The guy that did my audio said to stay away from alpine radios. He sells the stuff. And, I have heard that many alpine CD players won't play CD-R's

I'm not sure who's been lyin to your audio tech, but in all actuality most European supercars (Mc Laren, Ferrari, Lambo's) come stock with Alpine audio and navi systems these days. Low end ANYTHING sucks, but Alpine's no chump in the audio world.

Oh, don't get me wrong, ANY other Sony product, especially high-end, is great quality. I have a 61' Sony big screen and there's no way I'd buy a big screen from any other manufacturer. But as far as the Sony car audio, especially the Sony X-plode head units and mids, are terrible. I couldn't believe they went with red colors and when I heard the Sony X-plode subs I felt so good cuz my Kickers sound WAY better and were just as much.

If you're looking for a good looking double-din deck then I suggest you check out some Japanese catalogs. All these people have are double-din decks and they got TONS to choose from. I got a CD player with a 4 in-dash minidisc changer and I only paid (after the Yen conversion) about $600 and i don't know anybody else with my deck. It's definitely worth checkin out anyway. To a Google search on "Autobacs (put company name here)" and look for 2 DIN, you should come up with some tight goods. Good luck.

Ha,ha..well put. 5000 watts is alot of juice and I HOPE I live to see the day when a sub can take 5000W for more than half a second. By the way, most of the time when you do blow up an amp like that, it's not because there was too much juice going through it, it's that it's not drawing ENOUGH juice from it's primary power source and that's what will normally do your amp in.

Yup, I was wondering the same thing. Right now I have 1000W amp for my 2 15's and my indiglo's and headlamps dim like a mother. I wanted to get another amp pretty soon but I'm gonna need a cap before I make the purchase. Anything I find out I'll let ya know.

Actually, I've never seen a Celica Coupe in Japan...only hatchbacks. I THINK that the Curren is just a Celica Coupe with some crap headlights (I think the 4 in the front look WAY better) a little better engine and is more of a luxury series. You gotta realize that it costs Japanese people about $3000 to get their drivers liscences..so those who do drive have serious dough. A buddy of mine has a 1995 Curren and he said he'd trade me any day for my Celica. Definitely the 6g.

That's a pretty sweet idea!! I'm over here in Japan and I have alot of friends that have Skylines and they have spare ones they use for parts. If you don't already have the lights, I'll see what I can do about getting you some for REAL cheap.

If you really want to fix up your car, go ahead and make a list of stuff you want and just start stackin money away for it. I'd probably have already saved up for the Nissan Skyline I'm getting if I would've quit smokin by now...somethings gotta sacrafice. I'm in the USAF and being overseas in Japan I get paid almost double what I would get if I were in the states. Plus I work as a bouncer off base every weekend which brings in an extra $240 a weekend which is all I spend on my car. Good luck man!!!

It's not the sleekest Celica I've seen, but I think it's pretty sweet to see one of our own with a beefed up maybe OVER aggressive car. I think that if there were more 6g's out there like that we might get some well deserved respect. So kudos to him for having a ride that scares the paint job off of little ricer Civics!!!

I'm not a big smoker but I work as a bouncer off-base on weekend nights and it's pretty tough not to smoke in that atmosphere so my poison is Marlboro menthol lights. But normally if I'm on a good gym schedule I won't smoke for weeks.

I think I'm going to try them on my high beam bulbs because I already have blue LED's hooked up in my low beam housing.

I did mine with normal white paint and then I did about 5-6 coats clear and it looks sweet. You can use high gloss paint if you wanna, but the clear coat helps it from mild scratches and nicks.
