Spent 8 hours in the brutal TX heat trying to figure out why a 10 amp fuse blows when I turn my AC on. When I replace the fuse it blows immediately. A buddy and I looked for bare wires, and racked our brains all day. Even replaced the compressor relay and that didn't work either. Any help or insight will be extremely appreciated. when we pulled out the ac relay the heater would blow and the fuse wouldn't pop if that helps any. |

So basically my problem is that every time i try to turn my a/c, i blow out the 10A fuse in the fuse box, the one under the steering wheel. Im guessing its a problem with the switch, but everytime it tries to engage the clutch on the compressor it blows out the whole climate control panel. I thought i had a short somewhere in the cabin, but i couldn't find anything. Im all out of ideas...has anyone had this problem or know of any possible solutions?? Thanks My Celica is doing exactly what you described but how can I tell if the compressor is bad? Spent the entire day and half the night in the TX heat trying to figure this out! Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
