It is most obvious going over bumps fast or slow .. can feel can hear the squeak coming near the driver foot area ..

On uneven roads as well. No noise on flat roads

Hi guys I have a creaking noise coming thru from the bottom of my driver floor pan. Feels like something squishy/creaky.

I have a TRD coilovers (hi/lo/soft/hard) with cusco pillow ball mounts.

My previous experience with worn out superstrut figure 8 and the horizontal control arms is that there will be knocking noise and car swaying to a side when acceleration/deceleration.

However, this current issue doesn't have this knocking/car swaying sideways.

No noise on straight roads, only over bumps or uneven road surface.

Pillow ball mounts or superstrut banana arms ?

The component that goes out is the figure 8 and the middle part of the lower arms .. they have the same construction .. moving ball/spherical joints seldom wears .. the knocks occur due to worn out plastic housing thus causing freeplay ..

Tried to open up the Figure 8 link today and this is what it looks like inside ...

Its not a ball joint ...

Its the same for the centre part of the superstrut lower arms .. it knocks due to worn out plastic housing of the stud in it (freeplay) ..
Will try to machine a custom teflon housing to remove the freeplay ...

Have fun discussing ... ITS NOT A BALL JOINT biggrin.gif

Problem is I don't know whether the double orange socket and single white socket would work if I swapped the control switch panel ..

Hi guys, I'm looking for the full JDM auto climate control wiring harness for Celica ST202.

The wiring harness I need connects into the white single socket ( the bottom ones ) from the control panel switch, not the double orange socket (top)

Front of the control panel switch

Something like this, but this is the double orange socket type, what I need is the single white socket.

If you have the parts below, I will take it also smile.gif

Thanks !

This is the jdm type auto climate control and it's fully digital ... I'm not sure if the end of the wiring harness, which is the connectors would plug directly into the air con components like blower and cooler etc ... If its just a redesign from the two socket to single socket type, maybe a more cost efficient design or it has a slight difference in function of each wires

Yeah .. the double orange socket seems to the pre 1996 type and the single white socket are the post 1996 ...

Problem is that I'm not too sure if the wiring harness can be compatible with each other or not .. as in the same socket at the other end that will be connected to the blower/cooler etc ..

Hi guys, do you guys know the difference between this 2 climate control unit ? The socket are different. Do they works the same or just the socket are different ? What if I use the control unit with 2 orange sockets and the wiring harness of it to be used with the white socket control unit's cooler system ? Will it work or its totally different ?
