What do you mean by you have lost central locking on passenger door now? I hope you didn't cut that wire, you just tap into it. Power Lock Blue/Back Power Unlock Blue and Green (two wires!) The article also says "Use both wires and diode isolate each.", but I didn't do it. Thanks man, I'll give it a go. I didn't cut them, tapped in but think something has worked loose |

hi guys, back to work on the car installing the control unit thingy for an aftermarket keyless entry, so far i have grounded the unit and supplied the constant 12v, all fine, unit is clicking upon pressing the keyfob buttons so i have power! I followed a website listing for what wires to connect to what and the unit was still responding but nothing was happening to the locks, im wiring straight into the existing central locking module under the steering wheel. I know im hacking into the correct wires as i have lost central locking from the passenger door now so im on the right path.... basically, i have a few wires left and don't know what color wires to connect them to... different websites tell me different things so any idea what wire is lock and which is unlock? also if anyone knows which one will make the turn signals OR main beams flash that would be great Thanks in advance Al |

Hey guys, I own a 1994 ST205 Australian delivered. On Friday night I was driving when all of a sudden the dash lights went out. This includes the cluster lights, the lights on the AC (The AC lights still light up with what setting is selected), the light in the coin holder and the number plate lights. Brakes, indicators, rear and front park lights and headlights are still working. I've checked every single fuse and relay on the car and everything is fine. The only thing I haven't checked yet are the bulbs themselves which when I get a moment after work I will be able to look at. Has anyone ever come across this problem and can offer a solution? I had the same issue but mine was a bad ground connection from installing glow gauges (they weren't wired to anything relevant either) but i re-grounded it and worked fine (well, after blowing a fuse twice anyway). Not saying this is your problem though but if you have any aftermarket wiring it might be a factor |

Thanks Nihal I already had that cheat sheet and just realised im a total idiot, i was looking for a blue/green singular wire not realising that it means a blue wire and a green wire (so technically three connections in total for the locking aspect) - doh! |

Hi Installing aftermarket central locking, got the 12v constant working fine, grounded well, cannot suss out the lock/unlock connections at all. The locking unit im installing has two white (lock) wires and one white/black (unlock). After taking advice on here previously i connected the lock wires to the blue/black wire that plugs into the locking module (next to the steering column) but the unlock is supposed to be connected to a blue/green in the same location. I cant find a blue/green so after some googling i went into the solid blue, nothing, tried plenty of alternatives too and nothing. The unit itself is powering up and clicks when i press lock or unlock on the fob, the LED flashes when set to lock too Please can someone help, with some connection advice, this is killing my brain now |

You getting any buzzing from the transistor? I took my glo-gauges back out coz of it but my wiring was a temp-job to see how they looked (i grounded at the kick panel and took the live from the rear light fuse, also looped the on/off control so they only came on with the low/high beam) I couldn't work out if the buzzing was normal or not so just left them out... |

I have these in mu UK Celi but I dont have projectors so can only give partial advice I have H1 in my stock headlights, perfect fit They are plug and play, you plug the power running into the stock light into the ballast, the ballast is then connected to your HID bulbs I haven't hidden my ballast's as they aren't untidy, you don't get a massive amount of cable to drop them down very far either but you can easily just tuck them in somewhere and zip-tie or screw to secure Also, mine are 6k but I'm still known as the guy with the blue headlights....just a thought for you |

I got 7gen cards when i got my 7gen seats and its the first thing i looked into, not compatible at all im afraid, completely different size and bolt layout I tried cutting it too as was going to plastic weld what i needed to and wrap it but long story short - no dice. Best idea if you want something different would be buy some old 6gen cards and play around with some fibreglass and wrapping/painting techniques to see if you get something you're happy with |

Here I found a quick cheat sheet for basic wiring, I also installed an alarm a year ago so I can say it's correct as far as I can remember it... It says WHITE or BLACK/RED from the ignition harness, because 12V constant voltage is on both wires. But you can easily make sure which wire does what with voltmeter. You're a star my man, thank you. That cheat sheet is gonna come in handy |

Hi guys. Fitting a hawk universal remote locking system. Sussed out the door polarities etc so 99% confident wiring this in but.....need to know where to take a permanent live from? Hawk have told me the white thick wire in the steering column but the only thick wire is white and black, I dont think this would be a perm live anyway? any ideas appreciated. I did use the search before some wise ass replies with that |

Really love the styling and the way you have done this, very attractive car, always thought the GT front end suits having the rear spoiler too, aggressive from front to back that way Great job! |

Thanks. Yeah, I used a heat gun. Used an exacto to cut an X from corner to corner BUT leave some space so that when you pull and tuck you don't have have an uncovered spot. I misjudged my cut and had to try an blend a piece in.. You can kind of see in the far side of surround in the last pic Smkr3w - thank you, I persevered and got a near perfect result |

so much better without the wood Serious question, what technique did you use to wrap the shifter surround? I have tried this so many times and really struggle with the sloping bit, are you heating teh wrap and pulling in from the middle? |
