Greetings all. It's been a long while since I've been on the site, and I see there have been a LOT of changes. It looks really good. Your site is an invaluable resource for owners and enthusiasts of perhaps the most severely underestimated sporty coupe ever manufactured (IMHO). My question: I'm trying to swap out the p-side rear suspension assembly on my 95 GT. I backed into something that wasn't as ductile as the components of my suspension, unfortunately. So, the control arms(?) are severly bent. I thought of disassembling the whole thing and just replacing the control arms, but a mechanic friend of mine said it would be easier to drop out the whole assembly. So, I went to a junkyard and found a 6th gen GT and got a replacement assy., thinking I would just pop the old one out and pop the new (to me) one in. Well, its been a while now, and even after using a 1/2 drive electrical impact wrench, I CANNOT remove the bolts to get the control arms off the chassis, as shown in the pic below. I'm not sure if I need to restrain a nut on the something on the other side or what. I mean, what kind of torques were these fasteners installed with? Any suggestions on how to proceed with this would be helpful, thanks! Note that in the pic, I'm showing the driver side suspension for illustration. The p-side is too jacked up to use as an example... ![]() |

Hello fellow 6Gs. I have wondered about this myself. Although I don't think the actual gull-wing configuration would work, I think it would be possible to do the sisscor type vertical doors. In fact, I've looked around for a direct bolt-on kit that would fit the 6G, but I haven't been able to come up with any sources. I've heard kits can cost anywhere from 1 to 2 grand. |

I'm still looking for suspension parts for my 1995 Celica GT (non ABS, w/o sport package). I think I found someplace local that has the parts, but they're from a 1994 Celica ST. I guess what I need to know is, are the suspension parts on the rear of a Celica ST and GT completely swappable? They certainly LOOK the same, and it would make sense to make them the same parts from a manufacturing standpoint, but one can't be too careful. Any ideas? ![]() Thx, Tekbro |

Hello fellow 6G owners. After searching through the forums about digital insturments and clusters and such, I was unable to find a post that directly answered my question... Does anyone make a total, bolt in digital instrument cluster for the 6G that replaces the stock analog/needle version? I'm not just talking about the Indiglo gauges or changing the color. I mean totally getting rid of all the analog indications and replacing them with LED indicatiors. I think a few cars like the Honda Prelude, Buick Riviera, and some other luxury cars had this available as an option. Thanks, Tek |

Greetings 6GC! I have a 95 Celica GT which is currently out of commission due to a slight parking lot mishap. The right, rear wheel is bent forward and she will not roll. Actually several suspension components are bent-upper/lower suspension arm, strut assembly, etc. So: I'm looking for an inexpensive source to replace the damaged parts. Its been impossible to find anyone with a junked Celica locally. Preferrably, I'd like to replace them with stock parts, the performance replacements are too expensive. Can anyone help? Thanks! |
